Here they stand, this band, and they are going to
become a wall. A wall as a symbol for a unit. A wall
as a symbol for the inner walls, which we all have to
tear down again and again. A wall as a quotation out
of a song - Static.
After one year in this formation
we have to determine that we have done it all in the
correct way. We..ve decided to record a promotional
e.p. under the best conditions possible. Genuine and
live-like - that was how we wanted it to sound. And it
worked out: We recorded all of the instruments in the
same room at the same time, only adding a few overdubs
and vocals later.
..Walls And Other Lies.. is the title
of this e.p., showing a cross section of our musical
output of the last year. The development from a
restart after a long band experience together (in a
slightly different formation) to what we are now: Four
individuals, sharing their love of music and a deep
friendship. Searching for the feeling that our music
should make you feel, without any compromises.
The
lyrics of our songs evolve mostly around being a human
being, and the desires and the diversity (more real
than the dualism) which some people would like to have
to see their lives in an easier way. They are also
about having a wrong self-image, inner decisive
battles and moved and moving moments in life.
To
define our music it would need more than words. We
keep saying that we play some Indie/Alternative Rock,
but what does that mean anyway? We play with two
electric guitars, bass and drums. Sometimes we use a
synthesizer. We change between ecstatic noise and
fragile moments. We like strong and hooky melodies. We
always need energy and sphere in a song. We want to
touch our listeners hearts and create feelings.
Emotion is always stronger than a memory.
With a lot
of idealism and hope MLE[e] will hit the stages of
this world. Maybe with a record contract and an album
in the stores, soon?

"Exciting, Striding and assured. It has an energy reminiscant of everything that was good about the Klaxons debut album.." - BBC Radio Bristol.
