I Wake Up When My Eyes Open
I don't use an alarm clock unless I have plans. I wake up when my eyes open. I will never know the feeling of driving in traffic. Seriously, I don't know how some of you do it. I was stuck in traffic the other day driving to and from the beach. I must have spent about an hour or two in traffic. I said to myself "how do some people sit in this traffic 5 days a week for 20, 30, 40 years? They're WASTING their life away!"
I don't live paycheck to paycheck. I have before though and I know what a nightmare that is. I've actually never even balanced a checkbook. Before I was always so broke there was nothing to balance. And now I don't balance it cause I don't give a crap! I always know I have enough money to buy whatever I want (within reason)!
I already consider myself retired. I read a great book called the 4-Hour Workweek that talked about how so many people work 40 years of their life just so they can retire and enjoy life and do what they want to do. He talks about how we need to plan mini retirements throughout our life. So for example going on vacations 4-5 times a year. Four to Five times a year!?!? I bet that sounds crazy to most of you. But that's probably because you have a boss.
I Feel Bad For People With Jobs
I was just thinking about that the other day. I feel so bad for people that have a boss. Although there are some bosses that are really cool and great to work for. But not usually. I've only had 2 bosses my whole life so it's weird to me. But I was thinking the other day. A boss tells you how much money you are worth. In another words YOU DO NOT DECIDE. You are told how much money you are allowed to make. What the hell? A boss tells you what time you need to wake up in the morning and get your ass in the office to work for him and make him money. Your boss also tells you what time you are allowed to eat food. How is this normal for people? Your boss tells you what days you are allowed to spend with your family. Your boss needs you so you can be making money for him even when he's not there so he can vacation and have little sheeple working for him while he's living the good life. Smart man.
Now here's the thing. If you are in a job you genuinely have a passion for that's a different story.
I Dropped Out
So anyways, I've owned businesses since I was 18. Right out of high school I started a coffee company called lighthouse gourmet coffee. That lasted about 4 months when I realized I was drinking more than I was selling. Next was a stupid little crafts business that I quit after knocking on doors all day in the sun. Then it was an address painting business where we painted designs on peoples curbs but that was boring so I quit that too. Online poker was big so I bought a bunch of books on poker and actually successfully played poker online to pay my bills. I actually did this for about 6 months making between 3 and 5 thousand a month. I decided to buy candy from Costco and hire kids to sell it to businesses. I think I was violating a few laws there. Then it was off to law school cause I had always wanted to be a lawyer. I saw a lawyer sleeping on his desk and was wondering what I was getting myself into. Then after joining a network marketing company and getting to the second highest position in the company in only 8 months at the age of 21 and making more money in a month than some people make in 6 months I did the smartest thing ever and dropped out of law school.
For the next 6+ years I was involved with network marketing. Although I was able to make it work because I was very very good at cold calling, 3 foot rule, talking to random people and presenting (you may have seen my youtube videos where I train this) I found that people like me were only 5% of the population. Most people don't want to do that kind of stuff.
I HATE Wearing Ties
On top of that I got tired of doing meetings all day, being on the phone constantly, doing trainings and weekly meetings 3 times a week! And you know what else I hated? I HATED wearing a tie. I don't mind dressing up if I'm going out with friends but other than that I can't STAND it. Thats one of my biggest pet peeves. I want to wear whatever I think is comfortable or whatever I feel like.
So I realized that network marketing was a great vehicle for some to make money but I was looking for something else. Something with even more freedom. And thats when I was introduced to my mentor. It really is about who you know and not what you know. Together we were introduced to an internet marketing system that is making us money 24 hours a day seven days a week. You see in regular businesses you can only work while you are awake. Lets say that if you worked your butt off all day long and put in a 12 hour workday and you made $1,000 or $2,000 for the day. Now compare that to what I do. I use the internet to promote my business and It is working for me all day long. So I can work 24 hours straight and make $4,000 in that same day.
