This is our way to say thank you to all you crazy ones out there! We just made "bird on a wire", our little Leonhard Coen cover track, a free download. So go get yourself a bit of the nihilistic disco inferno MMDC is about to unleash...
Alright folks! After two months of unberable uncertanty we can now finaly announce, that "Love Your Sister" including both remixes from Assci Disko and Schmeisser is gonna be in stores starting July the 17th!!! Sorry for all of you who were waiting paciently.... Mo and Rob!!!
MAGIC MOUNTAIN DISCO CAVE, MY MOM DOES COKE, MICKEY MOUSE DEATH CULT.
Dancing is rebellion! And thinking is a tool to make the disco the epicenter of it! By deploying crunchy kick drums, driving bass lines and nervous guitar licks MMDC are rocking the dance floor in a way that hasn't been done for a long time. Your body tells you to move like you've been electrified while your brain is telling you to go out and make a change. Yes this is about an attitude. No doubt.
Formed in 2005 by Berlin Producers Robot (The Tape, Jahcoozi) and MoRitz (The Gecko) MMDC is filling the gap between fashionable disco rock and bad-ass indie punk. The first single Love your Sister demonstrates just that. As the hooky guitar riff in the beginning makes you go wait a second...this reminds me of something..., the four to the floor kick drum takes it away to
the funky side of the track. And then the verse evolves with the screwdriving rickenbacker bassline. Fuck me..they've got something big coming, for sure! Because that's what they're aiming at. The uplifting melodies and sing along choruses have what it takes to go all the way.... and leave nothing but burned soil!
