...... .. ...... .. .. ..MyGen.. ..Profile Generator.. .... .. .. We are ....Meet Me In Vegas...., creators of the ....'Splash Pop'.... genre which we brought to the streets back in June 2008. Its a combination of new electro rock and that 80s pop sound we know you secretly love. Splash pop has already been featured in local newspapers as word about the band spreads. .. .. We produce music the old school way, in an attic in the small town of Sutton In Craven, North Yorkshire. Seb and Chris write the music and Josh lays down the beats and Christine brings her catchy vocal melodies and lyrics to the mix. .. Formed from 4 different bands we have all had previous experience on the stage and behind the scenes, with some members doing session work for well known artists throughout Europe and the USA. Over the past couple of months we have played 3 shows at the Cockpit Leeds (with over 400 tickets sold in the main room) and a sell out headlining show in room 3, which has raised awareness of our music and brought it to an even wider audience. Our self titled debut EP was released in August. Claiming to have created a new genre - 'Splash Pop' - the band combines styles of rock and retro 80's electro to create their original and ever entertaining sound. .. Very new to the scene Meet Me In Vegas can be seen gigging in and around West Yorkshire and Beep! predict that they will become a regular name. With funky slap bass, riff based guitars and synth, the band are creating a stir on the scene and quickly establishing a following. .. ...... Beep! Magazine Review ...... .. .. .. I managed to catch the end few songs of 'Meet Me In Vegas.' I was blown away by the craft of the songs. Playing live to a sampler and a click really takes some doing. The rhythm section is certainly one of the best I have ever seen. 'I'm falling down' had a lovely bittersweet feel to it. .. ...... Review by Claire Wilson ...... .. .. Truly a delight for the ears. Complete with catchy guitar riffs, strong bass lines, mad synthesizer effects and a great vocalist to top it off. Meet Me In Vegas will have you up and dancing whether you’re listening to it at home or watching them live. The band is uniquely their own. So much so that they’ve made their own genre of music. Splash pop, which the group defines as “a combination of new electro rock and that 80s pop sound we know you secretly love.” There is really no need for secrecy here, if you ask me. URZU foresees that we’ll be seeing much more of Meet Me In Vegas in the near future as the popularity of the band increases and the knowledge of Splash Pop is spread.
