Drinking Team's Blurbs

About me:
Welcome to the official site of the Minnesota Drinking Team (est. March 17, 2007) !!

The primary objectives of the team are to have fun, and to raise money for worthy causes.

Believe it or not, it is possible to raise money just by going out drinking, which most of us would be happy to do anyway!
The key is getting enough fun and caring people together at one time. The more people we have, the more likely we can raise money for our causes, (and the better deals we can negotiate for ourselves down the line too, hopefully).

This team is brand new, and based in the Twin Cities, but please spread the word and help it grow. Hopefully we will be just one of many chapters nation, or even, world wide!
When we have a few more official member's, we'll pick a name for our fine drinking team. ; ) After we have many members and some more captains, we can establish multiple teams, and perhaps get some friendly compititions in play.

While this team is primarily fans of alcoholic beverages, you don’t need to be a drinker to be an important member of the team. Anyone who likes to have fun can join!

The one and only written rule is “NO DRUNK DRIVING”.

Designated Drivers get automatic MVP status for any given event, as well as free NA beverages and fair compensation for fuel from the people they drive. Hopefully we can get a ride trade system in place so sober cab duties can be shared fairly and efficiently.

Membership is FREE.

You may become a regular member of the Drinking Team, by attending any team event, or by making a donation to one of the designated causes through a team captain.(or using the link below)

To become an “Official member”, you may either donate over $100 to one of the current team causes, or, attend three events in three months (including at least one that successfully benefits a cause), or, be a D.D. two to three times in any amount of time.
Official Members get team related discounts and can host team events!

We also need captains!
Any official member can be nominated as a Captain by: recruiting new members, sober driving others, fundraising, hosting events, and/or in some way contributing more than average.

If you're wondering why you may have had a friend request, it's either because somebody on the team thought you may be interested, or you're profile pic in someway gives the impression you enjoy alcohol and you live in MN. ; )
