new band based in new york. we play instrumental music inspired by our exposure to many different folk traditions like irish, jazz, turkish, hip hop, spanish, latin, west african, etc.
most of us come from very solid grounding in traditional irish music, but we've also played gigs individually with all different kinds of groups from pop to indie rock, to african jazz, to hip hop, to jam bands. basically we just like to mess around with the ideas floating around in our heads and make something out of them.
currently the songs we have posted include three studio tracks we completed about four years ago, and one clip from a rehearsal tape ("c minor tune") which was actually the first time we had ever played that tune. we are hoping to finish a recording by the early summer. we are very excited and we hope you will enjoy our music or at least have an opinion on it. let us know what you think.
