My Spine Doctor
About me: I am an absolute perfectionist, an obsessive/compulsive and an organizational fanatic – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My Motto - Just because you have the right to do something does not make it the right thing to do.
I want to go back to the days when men were men and women were women and everyone knew where they stood. When men were men and women were glad of it.
I figure it’s about time to update the “Bio”.
I still live in NY on a nice, quiet street in an old farmhouse with my husband and 5 pets - 3 cats and 2 dogs. I hope it stays quiet but they are putting in a new house farm at the end of the street and it will probably drastically increase the traffic.
I have not had an injury lately, but the whole spine thing gets a little aggravating at times. The last thing I can remember happening is the dog bites but that has healed nicely. But, I am still going to leave this part in since I am about due for another injury. “When I am not recovering from some injury, I am working on the house, in the yard, or on the computer. Or we will go biking, watch the Band of Brothers dvd set in one day, travel around the world, go grocery shopping - all those exciting things. "We" meaning my husband and myself. My husband is great - I met him half way through college and we got married right after I graduated."
Travel around the world – YES – that is so much fun – I have really started to enjoy traveling since I have almost gotten over the whole air-sick thing. We went to 4 countries in Europe this past summer and I can’t wait to go back. Especially to Normandy and Scotland. The American Cemetery in Normandy overlooking Omaha Beach is the most moving and unbelievable thing I have ever experienced in my life. It is amazing and sad and awe inspiring and overwhelming and I could not believe that I was actually there and that it was real.
As you can guess from the traveling and such, we do not have kids. I am actually very happy about this fact and I am not looking forward to the day that I might have to change my little MySpace Bio to “Proud Parent”. They should really have one that says “Forced to conceive”. Leave that part to my wonderful husband who thinks that kids are “fun”. But, and I am leaving this part in too –“I wouldn't trade him for anything because he was there for me when I didn't know if I would ever walk again. And he has been there through it all - the injuries and horrible recovery time. “ He takes care of me even though I am horribly selfish and I don’t deserve it.
I have lately found myself saying “What the f*ck is wrong with people.” It seems like everywhere I go, there is someone doing something really stupid. Without getting into specifics, I cannot understand how a lot of people are able to function on a daily basis without sustaining a serious injury.
The fact that I can do nothing about this just adds to my frustration.
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet people who think like I do. I am a perfectionist. I like things a certain way. I like people who understand that feminism has horribly altered the face of America and sent it plummeting into a downward spiral of two income household necessity.
I also like people who think that the telephone was invented for the convenience of the person who bought it, not a control device that we go running to every time it rings like a monkey to a bell for a pellet of food.
