.. .. .. ....New single "Moves on the Screen" out now! Get it here:.......... ...... ...... ...... ...... ..---.. Ever since the age of fourteen Daniel Wennergren has been writing songs. In 2003 he teamed up with his younger brother Niklas to become the musical engine of the pop orchestra Mockingbird, wish me luck (though at the time they were called Sibyl Vane). They and the other steady members got together through a common vision of a different sound ideal and sincere lyrics. ...... Shortly thereafter the two neurotically guitar driven and somewhat tweeish tracks on Moving Pictures were recorded. Everything was done without outside help and nobody really knew which buttons to push but the result was appreciated and Mockingbird, wish me luck got a couple of local gigs. Since then, continuing in the same “do it yourself”-spirit, two well-received EPs has been released, Step In Concrete and New Beginnings. ...... Since the release of the New Beginnings EP in late 2004 Mockingbird, wish me luck has been working on six new songs meant to be released as their fourth EP. Drums were recorded in the rehearsal room and basically everything else in their parents apartment. When Blow Up Records made contact in the early summer of 2007 it was soon decided that these six songs with the addition of some of the already released would be compiled into an album. When the recordings were finished the band flew to London for additional production and mixing at The Premises in Hackney with Nick Terry (Klaxons, Franz Ferdinand). Mockingbird, wish me lucks debut album "Days come and go" was released on the 9th of June 2008. The first single was "Pictures (too big to fit in a sight)". ...... ..---..
