"We missed at least one act, but another was underway as we entered the almost reverentially silent room. It was Mock Syringa, led by a raven-haired beauty from Buffalo who sang in the most gorgeous, restrained way. In the small space, she commanded everyone's full attention - even the crack of a can opening was muffled, for fear of breaking the mood. The room erupted into applause after each delicate song." -City Newspaper, Rochester NY
JUST THINK OF THINGS YOU LIKE, LIKE BIG CATS AND COOKIES.
The songs on this newest release were recorded through summer heat, sirens, rain and the voices of neighbors in late June of 2009 by Gregory Dudley. I thank him for the nights he spent working on this, even though it made for tired mornings. I owe everything to his patience, and most of all his friendship. I thank Kim Moore for playing cello and violin so beautifully on Crawl Spaces and Divine Mother. She is one of the most talented musicians I've met and I'm very thankful that she was able to part of this.
These on Baby Doll were recorded on the Elmwood Strip by Zach Acard of Joys Dead! Recordings in Buffalo, New York. Many helping hands aided in the making of this e.p. www.myspace.com/zachacard
Joe Stevens played a mean banjo. www.myspace.com/joestevensstoodstill
Sarah Jane Barry, Nick Gordon and Sonny Baker sang like sparklers and soft sand in the background

Hello. My Name Is Alyosha Het. I Think You're Fantastic & Would Like To Shake Your Intangible Hand. I Think The Intangible Quasi-Hug Would Be A Bit Forward Of Me At This Juncture. Incredible Lyrics. Terminator II Changed My Life...I Often Pretend That I'm Made Of Liquid Metal As Thinking About The Fact That I Primarily Consist Of Water Is Super Lame.
ha! that's really funny...maybe your parents have a time machine and the song will play on the radio someday in the distant future and they heard it on one of their their time travels to the future...OR they've probably heard something similar before. i was watching tv awhile back and the soundtrack to a commercial for car insurance was almost the same thing as the instrumental melody; i think it's a pretty common chord progression.
i almost always play it in standard tuning with a capo on the 7th fret and my index finger always planted on the fifth string on the ninth fret and my middle finger doing a hammeron on the 10th fret on the 6th string picking it and scratching it and then moving that finger back to the eighth fret with a hammeron while picking and then strumming...if that makes any sense. the whole song just repeats those two chords the entire time. is that what you came up with?
