Life with music just seems much more colourful, so if I'm not listening to it, I'm usually singing! You can always find me at the music festivals in the Summer. I love fashion, but I have a very unique vintage style and I'm always modded up!
Music
I love Indie music, and music away from the mainstream. I also adore the 90's Britpop I grew up with! I usually listen to artists such as The Purple Hearts, The Chords, Oasis and The Enemy. I love 1960's and 70's Mod, 60's Northern Soul and Motown Soul. I also like Ska, too much for a Mod I think! I'm a massive fan of The Jam and Wellers' solo stuff, as well as bands such as The Kinks, The Who/The High Numbers and The Small Faces.
Movies
Pulp Fiction, Quadrophenia, Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Kill Bill. Basically anything unusual and iconic.
Television
The Office, Extras, Family Guy and anything that makes me chuckle.
Books
I love 19th Century Literature - anything by Jane Austin is always a favourite!
Heroes
Marilyn Monroe: Iconic, beautiful and proof skinny doesn't equal beautiful!
Paul Weller: An excellent lyricist and amazing performer!

Confident and friendly, I mix with most people. I can't stand pretention, rudeness or pseudo intellectuals, but I'm otherwise tolerent of other peoples eccentricities.
I suppose you'd describe me as a 1960's/1970's Mod meets Indie chick. I'm pint-sized at just 5"1 AND A HALF, however that doesn't prevent me from embracing my individuality and standing out from the crowd! I should have been born in the 60's and I like collecting records, clothes and shoes from that era. I think the music and fashion of the early mods is fantastic, and the ideology is unique.
I've been described as 'young, smart, self-assured and rebellious'. I'm extroverted, and I'm always out around town seeing live music. I can, however, be very introverted and you can often find me lost in the pages of NME. You can pick me out of the crowd, because I'm the one with the back-combed hair and huge retro sunglasses singing Soul records! I think all fellas should dress in suits and ride scooters because the world is a better place from behind the ostentatious mirrors of a Lambretta!

You are a beautiful princess with great strength of character.
We have put a new song up for you, it’s only a rough demo which hasn’t really been mixed well and hasn’t been produced but it will give you a taster of what may come next in our next recording sessions which we are trying to set before Christmas.
Enjoy! It’s called 'Stop'. Please tell us what you think.
I am just writing to let you know that we are staging our debut album launch party / celebration in central London on SAT SEPT 26 and we'd love you to be there.
It's at CROSSFIRE 14, one of the UK's most popular 60s, mod & northern soul events and the DCs will be on stage at around 9.30pm wth an enlarged band and special guests with an amazing allnighter spread across 3 separate rooms following the live show.
DJs at the event include Russ Winstanley (Wigan Casino), Ady Croasdell (100 Club), Rob Bailey (Beat Bespoke, New Untouchables), Brian Rae, Miguel Ygaza (Mushroom Machine, Spain), Rogeer Banks, Val Palmer, Dave Greet, Alan Handscombe, Jim Cox, Joe Dutton (Backbeat), Pete Tebbutt (Talk Of The South), Speed, Stephan Golowka (Up Club, Germany), Coffin Joe (The Horrors), Scott C (Lava Lounge).

The show is being held inside 229 The Venue opposite Regent's Park.
There will be a collectors limited edition double A sided single from us released on the night "The Contessa" / "Snake Charmer" (on good old vinyl) with the album "Six Against Eight" coming very shortly after :)
Hope you can make it - please let us know if you want any tickets :)
Hey there, we have booked our first ever gig in Barnsley and could do with all the support we can. It’s at Lucorum on the 24th July, were playing with The Rabbits so it should be an amazing night. If you’re up for coming down don’t forget and put it on your calendars.
Announcing the addition of 9 sneaky previews of tunes from the forthcoming dc fontana album "six against eight" are now up on our my space page for your delectation plus a snippet of the lack of afro remix of our forthcoming single "the contessa"......from our art to your soul..... Please do stop by and have a quick listen to these snippets (all works in progress) and let us know what you think won't you?
