The New Orleans Mod Dance Party is a fun filled night dedicated to dancing and drinking and having fun.
All music is provided by scratched up vinyl 45's and 33 lp's. there has been and will be no IPODs. just nasty, messed up warped old records we found at junk shops.
Dance Party was founded by DJ Matty shortly before Halloween in the year of 2000, with the encouragement and prodding of club owner Kelly Keller, who was Mod dance party's earliest and most dedicated fan, and to whom every dance party is dedicated.
for the first 6 years, The Mod Dance party was held on saturday nights at the CIRCLE BAR on Robert 'notorious' E. Lee Circle in New Orleans, La.
we have now moved Down river and downtown to the SATURN BAR on St. Claude Ave. in the 9th ward. It's a change who's time had come and it's been a good change.
