My Photography:-
I love music................
BUT..............have no musical talent whatsoever!!!!
so...what better way to express my love of music (apart from listening to it) - Photograph it.
I have been a keen amateur photographer for over 20yrs, and find nothing more enjoyable than trying to capture the passion and atmosphere of a live concert, irrespective of the genre of music.
To any other photographers out there, please feel free to comment and critique my work. I'm always looking for ways to improve the pictures I take.
My Artwork:
Nature is visually complex.
The purpose of my art is to capture and reproduce that complexity in synthetic imagery. I use computer software to generate new universes, planets and landscapes.
Based on fractal mathematics the end result is a fusion of maths, science and art. The flexibility of the program allows me the creative freedom to choose either to mimic the natural or to play Creator to a fantasy universe.
Whichever path I take, I use my photographer's eye to select the picture which defines each landscape.
" Sometimes the simplest fractals can produce the most visually stunning images - but, to be honest, the really complex ones which tie the computer up for weeks at a time can have unexpected results too. "
