"...wholesome Manics-influenced alt-rock from York natives Modern Day Chicane goes over well with the majority... For what it is, it’s pretty good. ...‘Scattergun’ features some fun, and slightly uplifting elements and ‘Lowest Point Nothing’ incorporates some nifty guitar work... ...these lads put a lot of effort into their music... ...this is cool..."
Sphere Magazine, August 2009
Modern Day Chicane was formed in York, UK at the end of 2007 as a home-studio songwriting outlet for Thom Craigen (ex-Colour of Fire) and long-time collaborator Ryan Anthony.
The duo were joined by drummer Pete Watson and guitarist Chris Streets, and developed a set of accessible radio-friendly rock songs.
Thom left the band in late 2009 and was replaced by 'Senators' bassist Dave Markham.
The lads are currently rehearsing/writing with a view to hitting local venues in the Spring.
