Since 1995, Michael "Dirt" Saab, creator and director
of The Modern Gypsies, has been inspiring audiences
with his interactive and original entertainment. It is his
mission to provide the very best cutting edge
Spectacle Entertainment. The acts have traveled the globe
and have been performed for audiences of all
ages, shapes, and sizes. The Modern Gypsies blend
exhilarating danger and mesmerizing visual effects
with comedy and skill. The acts run the gamut from
fast-paced high energy to stunning, breathtaking
beauty. This spectacle appeals to the primal core in
all of us.

Michael "Dirt" Saab (Performer) - a self taught actor/entertainer/musician born in Pell City,
Alabama - has
performed extensively throughout the USA, Mexico, the
Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan and China. At 21 he created the company, Modern Gypsies, and is dedicated
to its' quest for interactive and original
Spectacle Entertainment. Media work
includes TV's, "The Apprentice," "The Late Show with
David Letterman," and, in print, "Birmingham
Magazine". In his professional career he has come to wear many titles such as art director, technical director, costume designer, props master, and performance artist. Dirt now bases his operations out of NYC while working around the world on a regular basis.

Part man, part ferret, Saab enjoys spending his time
eating rocks, blowing fire crackers up in his toes, and
walking on broken glass. When he was 17, he was
struck by lightning - an accident that would change
his life... forever. Upon reaching adulthood, Saab
began forming his own views on the space-time
continuum. Soon after, he built a time machine and
traveled into the future to the 21st century. His hopes
are to revolutionize the artistic genre of performing
arts, thus improving the quality seen and
experienced in the field of art as a whole. Saab brings
the field to new horizons, blowing audiences' minds, covering new ground, and reaching new plateaus. He has adopted a pack
of ostriches which he now cares for and raises as humans.
The MODERN GYPSIES have many exciting performance options with experience in producing shows up to several hours in length as well as a variety of interactive strolling entertainment. Performances are custom designed for each event to be a perfect fit.

Happy Birthday Guys and gals! Hope this will be a big Breakout year for you. I see that you do a lot of Blacklight work Very cool I was Copperfields Right hand guy for about 6 years so i get pulled into a lot of very odd but very cool projects and It has caused me to learn a lot about Black light as I have been consultant on about 20 Black light features for permenent and touring shows and I always love working with it.BTW Did you get the Blaze yet from Wildfire (new monthly mag) Anyway all the best let me know if I can ever be of help Mike K.
