About Modern Science

Hi - we're Modern Science. We like to make eclectic pop music that is fun and purposeful, short yet deep. We live our lives by the MIMORTL philosophy. MIMORTL = music is my only reason to live.

Kane is from Canada and he writes the songs. Mike is from Chicago and he plays bass and sings backup vocals. Together we founded Modern Science & MIMORTL Records (Music Is My Only Reason To Live) in 2006. Within the first 3 years we endured a lot of crazy things that inspired Kane to come up with over 200 song ideas. Those ideas eventually culminated into what is now our 10 song self-titled debut record. We couldn't be more proud of the results and we are fully confident there is something for almost everybody on our album.
