Lisa Brandt Heckman and Channing Dodson met in a sociolinguistics class in 2006. Lisa, a distinguished veteran of the Chicago music scene, is currently lead vocalist with Portland-based technovoyageurs The Unlikely Event. Channing mostly plays Irish traditional music and is a burned-out veteran of the karaoke scene in Mie Prefecture, Japan. After guesting with The Unlikely Event, Channing teamed up with Lisa to participate in Schizoprestige (a video rockumockumentary) and the sludge-rock band Whatsoever Creepeth. Modesty Patrol is their latest attempt to hurl themselves toward glory.
