Adam East writes and sings these songs that are influenced by the Motown, Stax and Parlophone records of the '60s, and the Stiff, Polydor and EMI of the late-'70s/early-'80s. He can't help it, so he gets the grooviest of his friends to play these songs with him. All this began in 2003 with a stunning debut at Portland's classic nightclub Satyricon. The studio was next for these six lads and and two lasses and a full album is in the can, ready to be released to an unsuspecting world. The recent success of Amy Winehouse and her retro/Motown sound is paving the way for Mod Lewis and their 21st century rhythm and soul..................................................................................................................................
