Module Citizen were formed in 2003 by old friends Jerry Rosier and Nathan Livings. Formed from a mutual love of all things breakbeat and armed with a collection of synths, samples and Jerry's guitar, they soon started making waves on the local scene before moving on to a number of parties and club nights in their nearest hub of electronic music, Bristol.
In late 2005 they took a break from gigging to produce some new music. Calling on influences from Hendrix, Floyd, Cocteau Twins, Ultravox all the way to The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Adam Freeland and Plump DJ's, they started taking their sound to a whole new level of production.
Jerry Rosier
Jerry started playing guitar at the tender age of 12, playing in a number of bands until he finished full time education and joined local Tech-Metal outfit Slightly Miffed, leaving the band due to creative differences (they wouldn't let him near the kit!). Jerry went on to work with Matt Laws (Binary Finary), and joined local band Pattemore who were later spotted by ex Ultravox frontman Midge Ure and hired as his backing band for the extensive European Move Me tour. Jerry was later contracted to play guitar, bass, keys, programming and backing vocals for Midge's electronic tour of the U.K Sampled Looped and Trigger Happy without Pattemore. He recently appeared on a live album and DVD of the tour.
Nathan Livings
Nathan has been fiddling about with synths for as long as he can remember, catching the D.J bug as a teenager he went on to play sets at many underground parties and club nights across the south west of England. Disillusioned with the local scene and small-town attitudes to anything that was not fourbeat he re-discovered his love for synths, bought some, and began writing. After a meeting with like minded friend and musician Jerry, they formed
Module Citizen.
