Bio:

Formada no ano de 1996 por David (contrabaixo, vocais), Igor (percussão metalica), Rodrigo e Rubem (guitarras) alem de Veimar (bateria), a Modus Operandi sempre esteve voltada a fusão de estilos musicais ate então inexplorados em Salvador como o Pos Punk e o Industrial.
Embora desconhecida do grande publico, a M.O. obteve um reconhecimento tardio devido a propaganda boca a boca e a suas performances “sui generis” (consequencia em parte do uso de chapas de metal e furadeira com instrumentos musicais). A partir de 1998 a banda inicia uma sequencia de shows (muitos deles em festivais como: Arraia do Rock, II Rock Agosto, Festival de Musica do Teatro do SESI, etc.) que ajudariam na fama de banda estranha, porem dotada de uma personalidade musical impar.
No ano de 2000, a banda decide abandonar de vez a configuracão basica de uma banda de rock tradicional (guitarra-baixo-bateria) e parte para um som mais experimental, que apos varias trocas de membros terminou por estabilizar-se atualmente com o vocalista David assumindo o sintetizador, Henrique Letárgico (contrabaixo), Marcos (sucatas, furadeira, e outros efeitos) e Eduardo (bateria).
Abolindo o uso da guitarra e substituindo-a pela furadeira, utilizando-se de um contrabaixo “mutante” pelos ao uso de distorcão e efeitos, mesclando influencias dispares; resultantes do entrosamento dos seus componentes; que soam coesas, vindas de artistas como: Einstuerzende Neubauten, Black Sabbath, Stooges, Velvet Underground, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Kyuss, etc. e tambem de bandas nacionais como: Kafka, Vzyadoq Moe, Smack, Treblinka, Meio Homem, etc.
A banda possui 5 gravacoes lancadas: “Introducão” (1998), “Radio Graphia” (2000), h...estereo...(2008) e Comunicáveis - Yncxmvnyckvwys (2010)
Gotico, Industrial, Pos Punk, Robot Rock, Psicodelica... Muitos são os adjetivos para descrever a sonoridade monolitica da Modus Operandi, mas a melhor definicão sera dada pelo proprio ouvinte!

Formed in 1996 by David (bass, vocals), Igor (metallic percussion), Rodrigo and Ruben (guitar) besides Veimar (drums), the Modus Operandi has always been focused on fusion of musical styles until then unexplored in Salvador as Post Punk and Industrial.
Although unknown to the general public, the M.O. received a belated recognition due to word of mouth and their performance "sui generis" (in part a consequence of the use of sheet metal and drill with musical instruments). Since 1998 the band starts a sequence of shows (many of them at festivals such as Skate Rock, Rock August II, Music Festival of Theatre of SESI, etc.). That would help the reputation of strange band, but endowed with a personality Music odd.
In 2000, the band decides to leave once the basic configuration of a traditional rock band (guitar-bass-drums) and partly to a more experimental, that after several exchanges of members eventually stabilize itself today with vocalist David taking on the synthesizer, Henry Lethargic (bass), Mark (scrap, drill, and other effects) and Eduardo (drums).
Abolishing the use of electric guitars and replacing it with the drill, using a bass "mutant" by the use of distortion and effects, blending disparate influences, resulting from the interplay of its components, that sounds cohesive, coming from artists like: Einstuerzende Neubauten, Black Sabbath, Stooges, Velvet Underground, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Kyuss, etc.. and also national bands such as Kafka, Vzyadoq Moe, Smack, Treblinka, Half Man, etc..
The band has released five recordings: "Introduction" (1998), "Radio Graphia" (2000), h...estereo...(2008) and Communicable - Yncxmvnyckvwys (2010)
Gothic, Industrial, Post Punk, Robot Rock, Psychedelic ... Many are the adjectives to describe the sound monolithic, Modus Operandi, but the best definition is given by own listener!
