I am Flaming Moe. I got the idea for the name from an episode of the Simpsons. As the story goes, Springfield’s bartender, Moe, stole a drink idea from Homer. The recipe includes one part Kusty’s Cough Syrup to give it a purple color. Ultimately, the drink is set on fire because Homer attested: “Fire made it good.”
It has been about two years since I played my first virtual concert in SL. The scene has grown and become much different than when Astrin Few and I were the only two musicians. It almost seems as if new talent is emerging at an alarming pace, making it difficult for venues, media, and audiences to keep up. This influx of art makes it exciting to be a part of what seems to be a revolutionary movement taking place. Entertainment has changed again, and it will be interesting to see what the future has in store for us.
