   About The Mohanty-Mallon Duet
The Mohanty-Mallon Duet, based in Burlington, Vermont, is comprised of saxophonist Kate Mohanty and vibraphonist Andrew Mallon. Their music is largely influenced by the free jazz movement; especially by musicians such as John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Peter Brotzmann, and Derek Bailey. It is based on free improvisation and is therefore always completely improvised. You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM's MySpace Profile Editor!
