The last few days, I've spent time working with a new setup for my improvised music-making: the FHS, as I tend to call it, for the first time fuses ass of my hardware synthesizers and a bunch of the nifty effects boxes I use with a high-powered computer to give me so far in my life unparalleled sonic possibilities - and I use it for music which can very vaguely be described as "ambient".

This blog entry does not lay out the specifics of this setup - I'll do that if and when I feel in the mood - rather it is a short status report on the ongoing progress.

1. Current Activity
Starting Sunday 10th of January, I did one run every day video-transmitted to a impromptu internet audience. This has been documented on the respective sites, see item 3 for details.

I decided this will continue up to the first MoinSound Studio Session in 2010, scheduled for 01-16, which is to say that there will be a total of three more sessions:
Today, Thursday 14th and tomorrow, Friday 15th, this will air at 1930 GMT at ustream
Then on Saturday 16th for the official MSSS, it's 1700 GMT as usual, again at ustream.

2. Future of the Format
I will not continue to work with this setup for the future. This week-long experiment serves as a R&D project for the integration of my hardware devices into the computer environment, not as a basis for continued performances (for that, the setup takes up far too much space here).
The wisdom gained from these sessions will no doubt influence some future record release of mine, however.
