About me:

I was born. Had a healthy childhood. Moved back to California right after my junior year in high school and all hell broke loose. Finally joining the military, my adventurous side developed into a category 5 hurricane, and it's been one hell of a ride ever since...

It wasn't until my daughter Maric was born that my life took on meaning, gave me a reason to grow up, get a real job, start think about my future and NOT living so recklessly... She's my best friend, my mini-me, and she's also the reason I'm a believer in love again, something that for most of the population is easily passed around as a myth, sex, infatuation, and whatever else people 'think' it is. I would say it's like sex for the 1st time, or being a parent - you never REALLY know what it's like until you've experienced it. Even though I'm not married to Maric's mother anymore, her mom is one of my closest friends, and I learned a lot about myself through my marriage with her. I also have the privilege and honor of being 'dad' for 2 other amazing kids from that marriage, and I'm the lucky one that gets to share that time & love with them!

Then Danielle Garcia came into my life. Someone who had enough fire to keep my attention, someone who stood her ground and allowed me to fall in love with her, really for the 1st time in my life. It's hard to find someone who, just by being themselves, allows you to operate at the next level. If you look through our pictures over our time together, its easy to see the 'why'... why we we've been apart the last 3 months, making everyone's lives around us crazy as we try and figure our shit out. To be honest, we KNOW the love is there (and will always be), and now we're just trying to figure out if our future plans are something that will compliment each other's direction and ever-changing needs. Please be patient with us, love us, don’t hate us, and we WILL figure it out...

Lastly, I want to point out that I'm letting go of the past, in many ways. Sometimes we hold the expectations to high for those around us, without even taking the time to figure out what they want or where they are at, and sometimes we all just head down different paths. It doesn't matter how long you've been friends or known each other. What matters is how you treat each other NOW, where everyone is NOW in their lives, and what we individually want (or need) NOW, to make decisions that are the best for NOW and the FUTURE. I'm starting to seperate those long time friends into 1 of 2 categories - 1 [Friends/Family 4 Life, which is similar to brothers and sisters] & 2 [Immediate Family & friends, who impact our lives daily]. My new friends that come into my life will also fall into one of those 2 categories. It's nothing personal. Know that. I just want to start focusing my time, efforts and energy on the people who I connect with daily, and boost all of our lives up to the next level!!
