Here I am, MoJo, on myspace, talking about myself. Who am I? In a nutshell: free spirited, sometimes a homebody sometimes an adventurer, honest, kind most of the time, lover of nature and books. I know that when you meet people you should listen because they WILL show you who they are, usually very quickly. Take off the rose colored glasses and believe them.

When I'm not at home enjoying the peace and tranquility of our ranch, baking bread, making creme brulée and reading ...... I pack up my camera and head out on the gypsy road for parts unknown.



I love riding Harleys with the wind blowing in my hair ..... it's a freedom like no other. I sing along at the top of my lungs to the songs I love on the radio (ya, that was me in that car you passed). I get down and dirty in the garden every spring and pretty much stay that way all summer. I adore the smell of good coffee in the morning, a new box of Crayola crayons and my kitties' fur. The best tastes in the world are that first bite of warm peanut butter on a crispy piece of toast, the creamy bitterness of blue cheese accompanied by a sip of Yukon Jack, steak tartare with lots of capers and onions on an herbed toast and that first sip of a well made Gibson. I decorate my house precisely to my own taste in color, style and recherché items and don't care one whit what someone else may think of it. I love what I'm passionate about and am passionate about those I love.

I like a good conversation almost more than anything (almost). I can be shy but if someone shows me that they're mean spirited I will either speak up or never again associate with them. Drama queens included.

Road trips on the Harley are my favorite summer adventures and I take hundreds of photos while doing so, amateur photographer that I am.

My taste is eclectic, leaning toward the dark side. I have a huge library on the occult and love reading. The only problem is the stacks of books crowding my "birthday chair". What's a birthday chair? It's a heated, vibrating, purple recliner that my hubby gave me for my birthday. Fun, and hard to pry myself out of on occasion, which is when you'll find me with laptop on lap perusing myspace and eBay.

I am an artist who loves to paint and create one of a kind jewelry. My paintings are on everything from canvas to purses to small wood boxes. The one of a kind jewelry I love to create is often loaded charm bracelets with altered art charms, pins, earrings and brooches.

I'm also an amateur photographer as you can see by my multiple road trip albums. My favorite subjects, however, are the moon and sunsets, which I photograph often at our ranch because it is so clear and crisp out here ...... second only to the view of the heavens from the mountains.

My entertainment expands as my collections increase. Currently I collect Halloween art (OOAK paintings and oddities which decorate the house year round - see pic below), tarot cards (about 200 decks so far), a HUGE collection of pink depression glass, ouija boards (60-70 vintage and new to date), unusual martini-wine-sherry glasses, stained glass lamps and windows (I NEED A BIGGER HOUSE!), books of all kinds (especially first editions) and kitties (yes, live ones).





My fun comes from being an artist, gardener, reader, adventurer, herbalist, decorator, hot tubber, absintheur, and caretaker of my hubby, who enjoys my eccentricities. Now who wouldn't want a husband like that, I ask you?






A remarkable likeness to my own familiar who lives with me. I dare not post his actual photograph due to the crazed gun totin' stalker byrd who will not leave him alone.

What irritates me is Republicans' refusal to do anything about the economy other than gripe. Have they come up with any plan of their own? They don't mind a whit spending BILLIONS to keep 14 men in a cave from attacking us (supposedly ...... the more I hear Cheney babble on the more I wonder who was really behind 9/11) and they don't mind killing tens of thousands of innocent people in order to make Halliburton wealthier and increase the US involvement in foreign oil.



Being real, authentic and on a meaningful life path is the kind of person I'd enjoy meeting. I'm not here for the myspace drama - so if you're a high school drama queen (see above Shakti Gawain quote), I'm not for you.

I truly enjoy perusing other people's pages, seeing their graphics and their artwork and reading others' ideas and blog thoughts.

I'm in the process of meeting not only my spirit guides, but faeries, elves and sprites. It's a long process of opening my top four chahkras but I'm making headway and had a faerie sitting on my shoulder last night. Lovely little thing!











My animal spirit guide is the wolf. Wolf wisdom is the basis of our ability to view that which is not normally seen, protection of one's self and family, dedication and loyalty, intellect and intelligence linked to instinct, outwitting our enemies, spiritual instruction, dream guidance, death and rebirth, the ability to handle change, and the value of friends and family. For these things I thank my close association with the dignity of the wolf.
