The release party took place Saturday December 2nd at The Pageant, St. Louis' premier music venue, with local favorites Remedy opening.
Madahoochi, although labeled a “jam rock” band, shows diversity in every aspect of their music. Within an hour one will hear songs categorized as rock, jam rock, psychedelic rock, funk, and even some house techno and trance! Everyone gets what they came for and more than they ever expected from one band. A symbiotic relationship is formed between the band and the crowd uniting under two main principals that have rallied people for decades: a great time and ROCK!
Speakeasy originally formed in the mid 90’s as a three-piece, Speakeasy experimented with a hint of metal and hip-hop funk before evolving into the groove-oriented progressive rock outfit they are today. “I think we have definitely matured as people and musicians over time,” comments guitarist and vocalist Shawn Eckels. “A lot has happened since we started. But, the music has gained a more solid direction over the last year 1/2 in my opinion.” As the band’s musical chops progressed, their style evolved into the driving force it is today.
Not one to leave a crowd standing in its proverbial shoes, Speakeasy has built an ever-loyal fan base by cultivating a party atmosphere at each and every show. The free-spirited nature of the band shines brilliantly in their live performances. Serving up blistering cuts of crunchy, groovy electricity, Speakeasy breaks through with a rock and roll swagger of only true performers.
Whether performing on big stages at festivals, or playing intimate setting in pubs and the finer taverns all over the mid west & south, Dirtfoot puts on an uproarious show. The crowds come to take part in the fun and chaos, hollering to all the calls and responses, shaking their beancans, and getting down with the infectious grooves. There is only one Gypsy Punk Country Grumble Boogie band in the land… Dirtfoot.
Led by the organic writings of Matt Hazelton with each player adding his own flavor and feeling to the songs and sound of the group, Dirtfoot is a blend of eclectic styles as well as diverse personalities. All of their instruments are acoustic but their energy and ingenuity will make you swear they are plugged in. Featuring instruments ranging from an acoustic guitar, banjo, upright bass, pots n' pans, drums, bells, saxophone, xylophone and more, this band has a truly engaging sound, a real dose of Gypsy, Punk, Country, Grumble Boogie!
It is like a good gumbo - you have some growling vocals, upright bass and percussion that makes a good, dark, dirty Louisiana roux, mixed heartily with some meaty rhythms, combined liberally with fresh offerings from the guitar and banjo that are like okra and tomatoes picked from your backyard garden, topped with the hot n' sexy spice of the saxophone and jazz style drums, and finally a little something magical and indescribable, and you have Dirtfoot - a delicious, spicy, dirty band that will make you stomp your feet, shake your ass and yell like a lunatic on a full moon night.

LFDC Funk can best be described as a soothing voice whispering magic spells in your ears, while the music evolves from electronic synthesis to progressive jams all telling a story. Starting with three members as a reggae-funk band, members came and went, each putting their own spin into the music. Finally arriving at the fabulous five that appear on stage today.
LFDC Funk brings the heater tunes that are laced with fusion, psychadelic-rock, and funk. Many other genres have snuck into the influence, but funk has seemed to stay predominate in this jam band. The band has built a loyal fanbase, playing shows and festivals in Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri. The grooves of LFDC Funk will be sure to have anyone dancing through the night.
John Archer started Saracee as sort of an experiment. Many musicians have crossed into Saracee's path and contributed to Saracee's unique sound. As a three piece band with a much larger sound, Saracee is now taking root and playing festivals and venue shows.
Saracee are open to many different styles of music and always welcome others to partake. We believe that we need to come together to create something bigger than ourselves, not for ourselves, but to secure our families for generations.

After hosting two private music festival's on Caleb and Jordan's farm in the summer of 2008 and getting great response, the band is proving that this new sound is something that just about anyone can enjoy. 56 Hope Road is a band bonded like a family, and as a result, their music has an unmistakable honesty and openness. Uncanny, intuitive communication creates an easy interplay on stage, making even the most layered tunes sound effortless. They allow the joy of spontaneous creativity to color their song-based arrangements - neither losing their musical center, nor restricting its growth. The music is acoustic funk at its finest with sounds reminiscent of G-Love and Special Sauce, Richie Havens, MMW, Grateful Dead, Paul Simon and Gomez. This Chicago-based "acoustic funk explosion" is known for clever songwriting, lush vocal harmonies and one of the tightest rhythm sections on the scene. Formed in 1999, 56 Hope Road is made up of vocalist/guitarist Dave Hamilton, drummer Greg Fundis, upright bassist Chad Sanders, saxophonist Casey Fitzpatrick, and often augmented by vocalist Anne Katzfey, and percussionist Matt Katzfey.
Musical worlds colorfully collide in the form of The Station. Paired in a music scene long-dominated by excessive, guitar-heavy outfits dropping into 10-minute jam after jam of trading solos, they have been able to discover a newly-formed and rarely traveled crevice in today’s wall of sound. While guitar-rich in essence, The Station has managed to produce a sound void of the same all-too similar, stagnant riffs. Somewhere tastefully aligned between the progressive rock style of Geddy Lee’s Rush, American hard rock, the latter days of John Coltrane and the many fiery incarnations of saxophonist extraordinaire Skerik lie The Station.
