About me: Walk the world. Otherwise, you miss so much.
body by Europe, brain by North America, accent by NY - my heritage is :: Scottish (Davidson Clan), English, French, Dutch, German, Norwegian; born in the USofA, raised in Western New York state ('pop', not 'soda')..... I start out 'porcelain' and tan to 'white', ha ;D
:D :: I think this profile bit will just always be changing ::
from timid to tumultuous in seconds :: I am an artist, a novelist, a designer, a camp counselor, an educator, a Jane-of-all-trades, a geek, a lover, a traveler, an explorer, a deep-kisser, a story-teller, a singer, a playmate, a friend, a thinker, a problem-solver, and so much more.
I'm a huge fan of movies, cooking food for people, intelligent fun, and crazy wacko-fun that defies social acceptence. I love to travel. I feel a whole lot better about doing the right thing than always the popular or socially estabilshed thing.
My Philosophy for Living :: You may find exactly what you want, but that doesn't necessarily mean you get to keep it. Enjoy all the time you are given - no matter how little or how much - and be thankful for it. Often. :: Today is a gift - that is why it's called 'the Present'.
Of all things, I am a quote junkie :: "Don't let the best you have done so far be the standard for the rest of your life." ~ Gustavus F. Swift, American Business Magnate
"...With every turn, comes a new frame of mind - If I could frame my mind, where would it hang?..." ~ Eve 6, "Open Road Song"
"I've lived through my share of misfortune, and I've worked in the blazing sun - but how long should it take somebody before they can be someone?" ~MuteMath
All things in the universe are miracles, each as profound as any. ~ Walt Whitman
"Nothing happens in contradiction to Nature; just in contradiction to what we know of it." ~ Dana Scully, "The X-Files" (s.4x03)
Those with a lively sense of curiosity learn something new every day of their lives. ~ anonymous author
"Be the wind at the back of History." ~'Heroes'
"The greatest adventure is what lies ahead..." ~JRRTolkein
"It's amazing how many lives you find out that you touch when you step back and out of the picture for a while... nobody ever does though really." ~Robbie Bach, (one of my favorite people), of RIT's a cappella group Surround Sound :: http://www.ritsurroundsound.org/
~ it doesn't matter how you get there, if you don't know where you're going ~

:: a moment for movies :: I apparently need to mention that when I say, "I love movies", a part of that is the fact that I not only prefer experiencing them in a theater, but you should expect that I will be watching what I consider the entire movie experience - from previews through to the end of the credits. I just really love looking at everything that goes into a visual story... from the number of digital effects teams, to the location for shots, to checking-out new potential pre- and post- production jobs for myself. YES, I'm freakin' staying to watch the credits. You now have been given fair warning.
Who I'd like to meet: I tend to make friends pretty easily. That said, I'm usually a lot better interacting in the real world than the electronic, and I get a lot more physically expressive and relaxed once I've gotten to know someone. I treasure wit, sarcasm, and word plays - and especially people that can handle those, my other interests, and are generally nice, fun, interesting, quirky, humorus, and slightly eccentric people. ;D Naturally, there is more to it than that...
For the 'Under 20' crowd :: For the love of goodness, people... Pleeease: Use actual real words & realistic spelling when you leave me comments. Typing overwhelming amounts of digital slang reflects sooo badly on you, it makes me want to cry and smack you with an unabridged dictionary. Seriously. There are distinct differences between being goofy & humorous, attempting to really communicate... and just being ridiculous.
Molly molly such a long time ago is when you sent this awesome message I just read, about 10 months later! Crazy how technology can still make one feel good, even when time gets in the way.
I am glad I made you feel good, cause I remember you made me feel good, even crashing on your parents couch outside of rochachacha, it was good times. I am back in my home town area, in a relationship, but not quite knowing what's happening, other than when I make it to Oct 31, halloween, I will have not really worked for anyone in a full year, and it will be a great accomplishment of traveling and work-trading. I plan on writing a book about my experiences. Plans now are to make money from Nov - dec/jan for a trip from Jan - Mar/april to Peru and maybe around south america... crazy where life leads us right? What are you up to?
