Movies
I Heart Huckabee's, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine... & anything by Wes Anderson. Does this make me an emo-hipster-doofus? Hmm. I watch alot of documentaries much to the chagrin of my sweetheart. But I don't really watch as many movies as I'd like to, finding two hour chunks of time in the flurry of work, school and a social life is a bit of a challenge...I'm trying to catch up on the classics. Never forget The Last Unicorn, Labrynth, Dark Crystal, Secret of Nhym, Wind in the Willows, Never Ending Story, and so many other badass flicks from when I was a kid, they don't make em like they used to....
Television
I quit watching TV a couple of years ago, but I do miss Weeds, gory e.r. trauma stuff, discovery channel....and the Showtime On Demand Documentary channel. I do have a crapy antenna so PBS is good (this program has been brought to you in part by...) I've found that just about any show worth watching, will come out on DVD sooner or later. Update: Currently hooked...(line and sinker) on LOST! It's like crack. I am hoping to catch up on Weeds, and check out the Wire soon to see what all the hype is about.
Books
I don't read alot, not as much as I'd like to unfortunately, poor time management maybe. I'm attempting to remedy this problem, most likely with the massive amount of required reading I'll have to do this semester. Here's one to look up (from when I was a kid) The War Between the Pitiful Teachers & the Splendid Kids by Stanley Kiesel. It's got to be the most wacked piece of children's literature in existance & worth a grown-up read. If you have any recommendations, please throw them my way. Looking for some good non-fiction. Something that will make me re-think the core of my existance. I'm really good at starting a book and taking a year to finish it! Comics, Graphic Novels, Art Books, Children's Books, Magazines....all work great with my fear of commitment.
