| Music | Too much to get into. Actually, I'm very picky about my music, and my list is probably shorter than most peoples. But I'm really lazy. I'll get around to it.
And I'm just going to say right now- I don't know why, but I hate Stairway To Heaven. Maybe someone can explain to me what the big fucking deal is about that song. | | Movies | High Fidelity, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Animal House, Swingers, The Crow, Wayne's World, Sixteen Candles, Notorious, Key Largo, Mother India, My Life As a Dog, Johnny Staccino, Cry Baby, Pirates of the Carribean, Taxi Driver, Night of the Iguana, Spaceballs, The Jerk, Tommy Boy, Office Space, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and I'd say The Godfather I & II, but I've only seen them cut on TV, so it doesn't count.
There're also a bunch of movies that everyone keeps telling me I'd love that I haven't seen yet- if you are one of these people, relax, I got Netflix, and I put Pulp Fiction, Monsoon Wedding, Clerks, A Clockwork Orange, This Is Spinal Tap, Fight Club, Annie Hall, The Life Aquatic, Garden State, and Amelie in my queue. | | Television | General Hospital. Also, whatever's on late and doesn't suck. TCM, MST3K, It's Always Sunny In Philedelphia and The Boondocks. I watch way more MTV than I can really reconcile with my principles. Oh, and this one time, I saw John Stewart interviewed on CSPAN, and he said 'fuck,' uncensored, no less than 6 times and definitely got away with it, which just goes to show you that sometimes what you think is going to be really boring actually turns out to be better than what you were originally looking for. | | Books | Mark Acito, Dave Barry, Max Barry, Tennesee Williams, Ray Bradbury, Joyce Carol Oates (especially Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been), Arthur Miller, Ahab's Wife, The Phantom Tollbooth, Dr. Seuss, Graeme Base, Garrison Keillor, Mary Roach, Augusten Burroughs...I get to reread Wuthering Heights over the summer, so that's what I'm doing now. | | Heroes | Eddie Clontz (RIP)
Gael Greene
Larry Page and Sergey Brin
Matt Stone
Cecil Adams
and anyone else with an awesome job involving minimal menial labor. |
