Once upon a time in the hundred acre wood…
Mark Naghsh (Peace Bomb, Esta Blisshead) and Dana Fasano (Invisible Authors, Cotton Candy Cookies & Cream) are originally from the Hudson Valley in upstate New York. Both were involved in different projects at the time of MollyLlama's birth over pints of stout, grand schemes and tall tales at a Woodstock, N.Y. pub.
Many years have passed but the music kept pulling them back into makeshift studios with a Tascam 4-track recorder. Since those days the desire for better quality recordings prompted studio time both in New York (Niki Records/Prospect Street Studios, Kingston; Astoria Soundworks, Queens; Prime Time Studios, Pelham) and down south (Richter Studios, Orlando, Fl.).
Since then, they've been joined by 2 veteran Orlando musicians: Jeff Johnson (The Ocean Floor, Gestalt, D Street, The Invisible Authors), and Jim Ivy (St. Moist, NRT, The Delusionaires, Chang!, Cotton Candy Cookies & Cream).
The fun is just beginning. The debut live set is Friday Dec. 4, 2009 in Orlando, FL
at the Cameo Theatre.
Future plans include an upcoming music releases in addition to soundtrack work for independent filmmakers/networks.
