About me:
I am a wife and mom for the most part and am currently trying to redefine my sense of fun as I transition not-so-seamlessly into motherhood and family life. (Think Erma Bombeck: "My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first one being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.") But I have two happy, healthy, and adorable little girls, who are truly and absolutely the most delightful, magical little lights in the universe. I am so lucky to know them.
I'm also a nurse in the OB dept where I work two days a week. It is often a LOUD, messy, and stressful job, and we have a love/hate relationship. But for the most part it is very rewarding.
I am a most-of-the-time vegetarian and a some-of-the-time vegan. Unfortunately, I like to eat dead cows and pigs. And cheesy pizza. And I will harm others for cheese dip or a KFC fried limb of fowl. It's a character flaw I battle regularly.
I love my family and friends. I think my friends are so cool that I have to be, right?
I'm also a libertarian, a naturalistic pantheist, an infidel, a tree-hugging liberal, a deontologist, a most-of-the-time optimist, and all or none of the above depending on my mood. I am peace-loving and believe the future of the earth is bright despite evidence to the contrary.
