Heroes
My late grandfather, Ben, who taught me a great deal about myself, about life & was patient beyond measure. I gained my mechanical aptitude from grandpa & learned about the woods & trees as well as how to do many things yourself.
My grandmother Ida because she was practical, wise & taught me to use the Ouija Board. It was her stories about seeing family ghosts that really got me interested in Metaphysics & the Occult in the first place.
My dad, Paul, who was the original Marlboro man. Tough as nails, never complained, did what it took to see something thru to the end. Dad was so physically strong that no one knew just how strong he was.

About me: I am an initiated Houngan Asogwe which I received from Jean Kent on March 4, 2009. I have been a practicing Sorcerer since November 17, 1987. I was initiated into Alexandrian Witchcraft by Ron Parshley on Easter Sunday 1989.
I am also an author of many metaphysical books, essays & articles about Sorcery & Magic in general. My core focus over the years has been the subject of Evocation or summoning Spirits. This is why I believe the LWA took notice of me & wanted me to get any initiation.
For a long while, I hesitated getting initiated because I did not want to just give myself to any quack or false practitioners out there. Jean came into my life & showed me he is a true Houngan & a wonderful human being.
Over the years I have primarily practiced Hermetic Magics, Qabalistic Magics, RootWork-Conjure Sorcery, Hoodoo, Armenan Rune Magics, and of course Evocations.
I've had many clients & customers since the mid-90's and it was time to make my transition from those forms of Magic into Vodu.
Also, I'm a fan of 'Fringe Science &/or Weird/Mad Science' types of subjects. This partially comes from my childhood delight of watching bad Sci-Fi/Horror movies from the 1950's. I still collect these old movies but also enjoy proto-Science things like Earth Sciences, Gardening, Quantum Physics, Radionics & Psychotronics, Mind Sciences. I even enjoy the occasional documentary on UFO's & Aliens.
I'm a fan of the History, TLC, Travel, Sci-Fi, Spike & BBC America channels on cable.
