Influences
The 8 Bit and 16 Bit Old-School Nintendo Games, JapaNOISE artists, some chiptunists, some breakcore and DNB artists, some hardcore, post-hardcore and deathcore bands.
MOLOH (ジャガーノート) began in 2007 as an experimental musical project, strongly influenced by JAPAnoise artists like Masami Akita or The Incapacitants. Later on, following the seemingly chaotic structure of the Harsh Noise Genre, I started mixing breakcore, gabber and hardcore Drum and Bass with old-school 8 bit Nintendo-like sounds, trying to bring something new to power electronics and further myself from the chiptune and chipbreak scene.
I’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with tremendous DNB, metalcore and hardcore acts and I’ve always tried to turn each show into a unique blend of those unforgettable sounds hailing from the 8 bit days with the energy of an extremely aggressive breakcore act.
MOLOH (ジャガーノート) is reminiscent of those care-free days when we used to spend hours in front of our TV playing Nintendo games, watching tons of classic horror movies with no special effects and still get tremendously frightened in the process, engage in wreckless experiments not for the outcome but for the thrill of it. MOLOH (ジャガーノート) is musical dadaism, a strange mix of classic electronica, 8 bit sounds, aggresive breaks and noise, all into one.
