I have a penchant for lyrics that move you and cause you to think-or feel something. I will agree that there are thousands of hits out there that are lyrically simplistic but I'm striving for an emotional response--music that will bring revelation, healing or just put into words what so many of us are feeling!
I wrote peotry for years which has givenway to writing lyrics which I have found is much different.
Mine and my son Andy's American Idol Entry really got me inspired and motivated to keep writing. It was a long shot but I won anyway because I met a group of folks that did the same and have dreams of writing a hit someday too! We all meet at:

Why I haven't been on line for awhile... I have been in a major Fibro Flare Up for this whole last few weeks of constant thunderstorms, weekly Dentist trips while they yank out & root canal both sides of my jaw, preparing for the partial plate that I am "STILL" awaiting approval on, ANNNnnnd, ACUTELY SICK with a "Non-Fibro" ailment that they have now decided to be "Pyloric Stenosis" (the opening from my stomach to my intestines has shrunk and is nearly closed off completely. and you DO NOT WANT to know the symptoms it causes, let alone actually HAVE THEM!) And Ya know the "BEST PART"? According to WebMD, the ONLY people diagnosed with this are 3 to 12 weeks old INFANTS!!! And yes... my Doctor's sure... the MRI scan was VERY CLEAR! Monday I go back to try & get a "Refferal" to an Endocryologist to have an endoscopy done to find out WHAT if ANYTHING we can do about it.... THE ONE bright spot of course is having my little Chee Chee at my side! And knowing all my friends are "Thinking Positive" for me right now, since it has become increasingly hard for me too lately! LOL So... EVERYONE PLEASE KNOW... I am not ignoring ya all and I will be back to my old self soon hopefully! HUGGERZ & LOVES FROM ME, SEAN & OUR CHEE_CHEE!!!!!!!!
