MySpace a place for friends

Hi! I'm Sandy. I am the "Head Mommy" around Mommy Couture. I am wife to my husband Brad.  I am a Mom to 4 awesomely hilarious little boys one of whom is joined us the end of march 2007. I know you are probably like the rest of the world and would like to know if we were trying for a girl. Answer: NO, we weren't trying for anything, at least in the baby department that is ;) . As my life would have it though most of the things that mean the most to me were just things that happened quite by accident.

    I started Mommy Couture in August of 2004, I didn't realize I was starting a business but apparently I was. I have always been a creative soul and always loved having original things. I had always made things for my babies but a few months before Mommy Couture's "Vice President" was born (my 3rd child) I started to really just flip out. My oldest was 3 1/2 and was going to be starting pre-school and I also had a 2yr old. I had no idea how I was ever going to be able to leave the house again! My hands were blessed; but they were for sure FULL. I had half resolved that my life was going to be filled with the joys of the uncomfortable commercial baby carrier I owned. I still had a glimmer of hope and started investigating baby carriers. I found a simple padded sling at a resale shop. I had been afraid to buy one new because I thought for sure it would be another uncomfortable useless baby contraption. When my little VP was 2 days old I took my kiddos for a stroll. Ethan fell asleep in the sling, my arms for free and I WAS COMFORTABLE! But some things had to go about this carrier. It was UGLY, padded and just not my style. Like I said before I had always made things for my kids and I love original stuff and since I knew I was going to be living in this thing I figured it mind as well be cute right? So I went to work. I made it with fun fabric ..trim and even a  pocket. Finally I could run out of the house to grab some milk without lugging my purse! I would just toss my cell phone, keys, a diaper and some wipes in the pocket. Now when Mommy Couture came on the scene there were a few other sling retailers selling cool slings. However they were very pricey (and I am admittedly cheap lol) and even if there wasn't a complete void I LOVED being creative and having something for me. So that's where it began. We are still a small company and I am fine keeping it that way until all of my little babes are off to school all day. We have grown and added more items. Items I know you'll love and need them cause trust me I own EVERY product Mommy Couture sells and use them daily. Thanks for being our friend :)
