scrapbooking, baking, my kids of course, reading when I have time, Biblical prophecy.
Music
Mainly old stuff. Big Band, Swing, the standards...that is my favorite genre. Love Michael Buble(pronounce booblay, not bubble LOL) I also like pop and country and Christian pop. Ming is really cool too! You should check out his MYSPACE. Awesome music!
Patsy Cline's Walking after midnight. One of the greatest singer's ever born.
Jo Stafford's I'll walk alone. It is dedicated to my sweetheart.
Ella Fitzgerald and Jo Stafford love medley part One:
Part Two of two of the best singers ever heard:
A great song by Etta James: I just wanna make love to you.
Movies
White Christmas,
What a girl wants,
Singing in the Rain,
Return to Me,
The Notebook,
Wedding Singer.
The less drama in a movie the more I usually like it. Romantic Comedy, musicals, some suspense and mysteries. Nothing gory, violent, or evil. I just don't need that crap in my head.
Television
Oh, there are so many good shows this year! Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty (although that one is getting on my nerve's a bit the whole annoying transgender brother thing), American Idol, Dancing with the stars, Instant Star. And occassionally I like to watch House.
Books
Chronicles of Narnia, any Frank Peretti book, Left Behind Series ( you know it is good when you can read a 400 page book in 24 hours time), Beverly Cleary's autobiographies, the Ramona Quimby series.
Currently I am reading nothing. LOL. Any good suggestions for me?
Heroes
Hero probably is not the right wording for me, but I would have to say King David. Not so much for the great life that he lead, but more so because he is the perfect example of how much God loves us despite our short comings, as long as we keep coming back to Him after we stumble. Even the Old Testament is filled with stories of God's Grace not our perfection that connects us to God and makes us His. We are only saved by grace not works, lest anyone should boast. That theme is throughout the ENTIRE Bible. God often uses those who are far from perfect to do His will, because through their imperfection, God's Glory, Strength, and Perfection can shine. David's story reminds me that I shouldn't be saying, "I am not perfect enough Lord.", but that I should be saying,"Show Your Perfection through me Lord." What a wonderful God we serve!

Wow, it is really hard to sit down here and come up with a few words that will tell everyone who I am. I will give it my best shot though. Mainly I am a wife and mother right now. I met my husband Steve online in June of 1998. We met in person in July of that year and have been together ever since. During that time we have had 6 children. Our oldest just turned 9 in May. The rest of the children are 7,6,4,3, and at this time almost 2 weeks. People often ask us if we are done yet. The answer to that is, we are DONE! (That is if Steve gets over his fear of the snip snip! LOL) Oh, and yes, we have figured out what causes this phenomenon, so no need to ask!
Our oldest son has what is called Severe Global Dyspraxia. Basically it is a neurological problem of unknown cause that makes storing, gathering, processing, and recalling information very difficult. Most dyspraxic people mainly have a hard time with speech, Kamden is effected throughout his entire being. The easiest way I have heard it described is to think of information as a train. Assuming that the information coming in easily gets from point "a" to point "b" it then tries to get back to point "a" again, but finds that the track has been broken, detoured, and never really connects back to point "a". What he can do one day really well he can't do the next day. The information is there, somewhere, but has been put in the wrong place or if it is found got lost on its way to being used. I can't imagine how frustrating day to day life must be for him sometimes. He is a trooper though and works hard to keep up. If you would like more information about dyspraxia have a look at this website: http://www.dyspraxiausa.org/index.html
As for me I don't really have a lot of me time, but when I do I love to bake and to scrapbook. As you could probably tell by my scrolling photos, I am into making cakes and cookies. I started out by making my Mom a pretty cake for her birthday in 2005. Since then I have been hooked. A few months ago I tried my hand at decorated sugar cookies and fell in love! I can't wait until I get a chance to make some more. I also love nature. I love to be out in the woods. I haven't really been able to be outdoorsy with the kids, but as they get older I hope to instill that same love of nature that I have in them. An odd thing about me is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the rain! I love the way it sounds on the roof. I love the way it washes away all the dirt and grime and makes everything sparkly again. I love the way it makes the air smell. I love to walk in the pouring rain on warmish days. It brings me back to a more innocent time when my front yard was the whole world and I was safe within it. Rain cleanses my soul.
I enjoy people. I love watching them and trying to figure out what makes them tick. I like to get past the surface and know who they are inside. I want to know why they do what they do. I am also extremely introspective. I want to know what makes me tick as well. I like to know the truth! I don't have to be right just to be right. If I am wrong about something, tell me, but be prepared to prove it! LOL. I try my best to let things roll of my back. I try not to hold grudges. I can't tolerate rudeness and I appreciate manners. It amazes me how many people have forgotten how to say a simple please and thank you! I try to hear what people are really saying and to not be offended by the way it sometimes comes out. I don't always succeed though. I am not afraid to say what I think, although sometimes I should be. I guess who I am is best summed up by the words of Laurie Berkner: "I'm NOT perfect, no I'm not! I'm not perfect, but I've got what I've got! I do my very best, do my very best, I do my very best each day! But I'm not perfect, and I hope you like me that way!"
