"We've always wanted to experiment with new languages by opening new doors and exploring new feelings. Monotony is boredom and boredom kills." Never were there truer phrases. But if some years ago, in the bare recording studios of beautiful Tuscany had you asked these three bad boys "where do you think you'll end up? ", I'm sure the dream was quite far from the reality!' Yes, a reality that brought Daniel Melani (voice and piano), Federico Bartolozzi (guitars and program) and Marco Alessandri (drums and piano) in art, the MOMOFAMILY, to live the American dream firsthand. To better know the history of the band we have to take a step back in time when their name was just MOMO. The MOMO project was born from the need of Federico Bartolozzi, Daniel Melani and Leandro Denti (drums and piano) to make music by trying to meld rock with electric and with funk. But, to define the band as electro-rock would be very restrictive considering that music, as art, is a contamination…only the words 'no limits' exist. The premature death of Leandro deeply effects the band which, in 2005 dedicates, with the entrance in the band of Marco Alessandri, their first "LEDEN" piece with the collaboration of Marco Brini on bass guitar. The CD was released by Madamadorè/EDEL and was immediately prized by the radio, the public, and others in the field. The positive outcome of LEDEN pushes the band to go on to earn new management and their name is enriched with the addition of the word 'FAMILY'. The new MOMO FAMILY identity comes from the value that the boys give to friends, to sentiments and from the need to be able to voice and to involve in the future people and artists with a true, sincere and deep message to spread. In the near future they will create a community that that will be the real FAMILY. In 2007 the new management firmly pushes for the summer release of a new single "Viva Barcelona", from which a video has been made and played by the main Italian television broadcasting stations, which will be only for promotional and broadcast promotion. (soon it will be re-proposed with the video in English and in a jewel box full of remixes). The MOMO FAMILY begins to be also known in foreign countries from USA arrives the proposal from Tunestuff Records in Atlanta for the first production in English of the band GIMME MOMO! And so the boys fly to Atlanta, and between October and December record their third session at Groove Tune Studios and take part in various showcases which increase their fame in the Atlanta rock scene and stimulates the curiosity of the American public for this Italian band that proposes themselves in the country that is home to rock. And they succeed in transmitting instinct and passion as few others can. And it's exactly the instinct and the passion that permeate GIMME MOMO!, which was recorded by Eric Tunison, with the collaboration of Ben Frassinelli on mixing (Litfiba, Negrita, Piero Jovi Liga, Art. 31 Extrema and many others), and Rodney Mills for the mastering (REM, Stonetemplepilots, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sheryl Crow, James Brown and many others). GIMME MOMO is an album rich in states of mind that perfectly reflect the instinctive nature of the human being, which is inserted in a balance of rhythmics and powerful guitars that are seasoned by a cool use of electronics and melodious creativity. The CD is scheduled to debut September 18…stay tuned because nothing will be as before.... The band is about to depart again for a long tour in The States where they will also take part in an itinerant reality show.... If it is true that a fundamental law of the universe is that everything born evolves and finally dies to then be reborn, then we have just been reborn.. MOMO

Ma se qualche anno fa, nelle spoglie sale prove della ridente Toscana avessi chiesto a questi tre ragazzacci "dove pensate di andare?", sono sicura che il sogno fosse ben lontano dalla realta'! Si', realta' che ha portato Daniel Melani (voce e piano) , Federico Bartolozzi (chitarre e programming), Marco Alessandri (drums e piano), in arte MOMOFAMILY, a vivere il sogno americano sulla propria pelle.. Per conoscere meglio la storia della band, dobbiamo pero' fare un passo indietro a quando il loro nome era solo MOMO. Il progetto MOMO nasce dal bisogno di Federico Bartolozzi, Daniel Melani e Leandro Denti (drum and piano) di fare musica cercando di fondere il rock all'elettronica e al funk, ma definire la band elettro-rock sarebbe molto restrittivo visto che la musica, come l'arte, è contaminazione…esiste solo una parola no limits. La scomparsa prematura di Leandro segna profondamente la band che gli dedicherà, nel 2005, con l'entrata nella band di Marco Alessandri, il loro primo lavoro "LEDEN" con la collaborazione di Marco Brini al basso. Il CD esce per la Madamadorè/EDEL facendosi subito apprezzare da radio, pubblico ed addetti ai lavori. L'esito positivo di LEDEN spinge la band ad andare avanti guadagnando un nuovo menagement arricchendo il loro nome con FAMILY. La nuova identita' MOMO FAMILY viene dal valore che i ragazzi danno agli agli amici, agli affetti e dall' esigenza di poter dare voce e coinvolgendo in futuro persone ed artisti con un messaggio vero, sincero e profondo da diffondere. Nel medio futuro creeranno una community quella che sarà la vera e propria FAMILY. Nel 2007 il nuovo menagement spinge a fondo per l'uscita estiva di un nuovo singolo "Viva Barcelona", con la collaborazione di Marco Brini al basso, il brano dal quale è stato girato un video trasmesso dalle principali emittenti televisive italiane, sarà solo a scopo promozionale e radiofonico. (presto verrà riproposto con il video in inglese e in un cofanetto ricco di remix) La MOMO FAMILY inizia a farsi notare anche all'estero e sarà dagli USA che arriverà la proposta dalla Tunestuff Recods di Atlanta per la prima produzione in inglese della band, GIMME MOMO!. I ragazzi volano cosi' ad Atlanta e, nel periodo fra ottobre e dicembre, registrano al Groove Tune Studio il loro terzo lavoro prendendo parte a vari show case che vedono incrementare la loro fama nell'ambiente rock di Atlanta e stimolando la curiosità del pubblico americano verso questa band italiana che si propone nella patria del rock riuscendo a trasmettere istinto e passione come pochi altri. Ed e' proprio l' istinto e la passione che permeano GIMME MOMO!, registrato da Eric Tunison al quale hanno collaborato Ben Frassinelli ai mixaggi (Litfiba, Negrita, Piero Jovi Liga, Art. 31 Extrema e molti altri), e Rodney Mills per la masterizzazione (REM, Stonetemplepilots, Pearl Jam,Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sheryl Crow, James Brown e molti altri), Luca Silvestri al basso. GIMME MOMO è un album ricco di stati d'animo che riflettono perfettamente la natura istintiva dell'essere umano, inserite in un quadro di ritmiche e chitarre potenti condite da un fresco uso dell'elettronica e da melodiosa creatività. L'uscita del disco è prevista per il 18 settembre…state sintonizzati perchè niente sarà più come prima.... La band è in procinto di partire nuovamente per un lungo tour negli states che li vedra parte anche di un reality show itinerante.... Se è vero che una legge fondamentale del universo è che tutto nasce si evolve ed infine muore per poi rinascere noi siamo appena rinati.. MOMO
