About me:

Whether you are a brand new parent or have teenagers leaving the nest in a few short years, there will be many times when you need advice, support, and encouragement to help you travel the journey through parenthood. MomRN is here to help you on this path. Her sixteen years of motherhood, plus three years as a pediatric nurse, a dozen years as a professional child care provider, and growing up as the oldest sibling of six children has given MomRN a wide variety of experience in caring for children and a unique parenting expertise. She has used this expertise to help thousands of parents as they strive to be the best parents they can be and wants to share that help with you.

MomRN, aka Tamara Walker, R.N., is just plain "Mom" to two teenagers, and has been offering support, information, advice, and encouragement to parents on her website, www.MomRN.com, since 2001.

MomRN has had numerous articles featured in parenting magazines, newspapers, and several parenting websites, in addition to writing the monthly column, "Everyday Parenting", for Edmond Illustrated Magazine (2004-2005). She has been teaching child/teen safety and abduction prevention workshops for kids and parenting groups, schools, daycares, churches, and families for four years. She has been interviewed as a child safety expert on her local Oklahoma City news channels and on the Oklahoma City TBN Network affiliate. In 2006, she was asked by the national Trinity Broadcasting Network to write and film "Safety Smarts", short safety tips segments, to air in between their kids shows on The Smile of A Child Network. The producers of the Rachael Ray Show also called Tamara and requested a video featuring one of MomRN's parenting tips, for a parenting segment which aired on March 6, 2007. The video is available to view at:

MomRN hosted a monthly parenting talk show on an Oklahoma City radio station for two years (2004-2006) then made the transition to internet radio on BlogTalkRadio.com in April 2008. Since then, MomRN has interviewed many notable guests, including Kirk Cameron, Tom Arnold, Nancy O'Dell, as well as numerous experts on parenting, health, and safety issues. Join MomRN each week on BlogTalkRadio.com to ask parenting questions and discuss a variety of parenting topics that will help and encourage you on your parenting journey. We'd love to hear your ideas for topics and issues, so please let us know what you want to hear about on the show!

You are also invited to message MomRN with your parenting questions and read the parenting articles on MomRN's website, http://www.MomRN.com. She will be posting articles on a regular basis and looks forward to answering your questions. MomRN also writes for other websites, including Examiner.com as the Oklahoma Child Safety Examiner, and the upcoming GalTime.com, which will debut this summer. Visit these great websites for more parenting articles and advice!
