I would say I'm a surreal artist who loves to paint nature with bright colors in a sort of fantasy type world. I love the forest, especially at night...it both frightens and amazes me. One of my most vivid memories as a kid is being down at the creek with my brother, about a two mile walk from my Grandpa's house which was up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The sounds of the birds, the creek, and no cars was so peaceful. We enjoyed climbing on the trees and listening to the running water. One day, on the way back we were chased by what we thought were wild animals, we ran as quick as we could to avoid being eaten alive. Turns out it was just the neighbors crazy dogs that were chasing us. Were were so scared to go back to the creek, but it was our favorite place and we couldn't resist...since then we always carried a big stick with us, which for some reason we thought would protect us...however, we never stopped looking over our shoulder.
