Wednesday 1st July 2009 IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESS STATEMENT MONARCHY LIVE Music Festival Postponed SMR Entertainment Ltd, the promoters behind the MONARCHY LIVE music festival due to be staged at Ragley Hall this coming weekend (Saturday 4th July 2009) have today confirmed that the MONARCHY LIVE music festival event has been postponed. Promoters for MONARCHY LIVE and its parent company SMR Entertainment Ltd issued this statement today; “A decision was taken today by the directors of MONARCHY LIVE and SMR Entertainment Ltd to postpone the MONARCHY LIVE music festival this coming Saturday 4th July. This regrettable decision was taken in light of the fact that the event had not sold sufficient tickets to make the festival viable on this date. This has been due to a number of external factors including the current economic climate. The feedback about MONARCHY LIVE and the setting of the event at Ragley Hall has been extremely positive and well received. Social networking sites have been buzzing about the concept and the festival. Therefore in light of this positive response we felt that postponing MONARCHY LIVE rather than cancelling the event all together, would allow further time to make the necessary improvements to enable us to achieve these ticket sales and at the same time would avoid disappointing fans who had bought tickets to the event.” They continued; “We have taken on board various comments and suggestions from festival goers and the rescheduled event will be improved to reflect these suggestions making it better value for money and a superior festival experience. These suggestions have included providing camping facilities, shuttle buses, further improvements to the current artist line up, all of which are currently being negotiated.” Promoters of the event are currently in talks with Ragley Hall about re scheduling the festival for a date later this summer. Talks are also underway with artist’s management and agents to also reschedule their commitments. A further announcement will be made to the media in due course as to the rescheduled date. For those people who wish to retain their ticket for the rescheduled event, MONARCHY LIVE promoters have also agreed as a gesture of goodwill, that all festival goers who have purchased their ticket prior to today, can also apply for a free ticket to MONARCHY LIVE 2010 (see website for details). Anyone who has bought a ticket to the event on Saturday prior to today, will also be able to claim a full refund of the ticket price by emailing info@monarchy-live.co.uk with details of their Paypal purchase.
