MUBS's Interests

General	Representing students and advocating for their rights, throwing awesome parties and other social events, supporting clubs and societies at the Berwick campus, lending out sports equipment, publishing Ink (the student magazine), selling cheap drinks at the bar, binding and laminating assignments, cooking BBQs and breakfast and giving students massages.
Music	You'll hear our favourite mix playing in the student lounge every day. We also love to get DJs and bands to come and perform on campus.
Movies	Movies.. we like movies. We sometimes have movie nights in the student lounge with popcorn and nice leather couches for seats. We also sell cheap cinema tickets at the MUBS Service Desk, and Community Card holders have access to even more movie offers with their My Rewards card!

catherine	Aug 10 2008 11:37 AM yo yo folks! so as some of you may or may not know... i have been involved this year with Monsh Uni's Musical Company... and this year we are presenting SWEENEY TODD: the demon barber of fleet street and akin to many a proud parent, i think it is brilliant! A lot of hard work (phwoaaarrrr!), sweat, tears and frustrations have gone into producing this show, and it would be great if you all came to have a look-see, a peek-a-boo. you know... shizzle yoselves down to sondheim's dizzle! Matt	Apr 23 2007 5:26 AM Hello Berwick People, As you may already know, the role of Welfare Officer is up for re-election this week. Please make sure to cast your vote on Tuesday or Thursday! I am a candidate for this position, so I'd like to warn you that the rest of this comment is shameless self-promotion. Monash Berwick is a great campus but I think there are many changes that should be made to improve student welfare. If elected, I will be dedicated to: -Introducing Free Lunch Fridays, a student run initiative designed to offer healthy food alternatives on campus -Decreasing the environmental impact of the Berwick campus and encouraging environmental awareness through the Berwick Environment Committee -Supporting the other members of the Welfare Committee to make meaningful for changes for your welfare -Enabling your self improvement by running short classes on campus, including meditation, job application and employment skills, first aid courses -Forming groups to encourage live music and artistic expression on campus but perhaps most importantly, -Doing the hard work needed to turn your ideas into real, meaningful changes on campus Now that you've seen a few of my ideas, please don't hesitate to get in touch to talk about changes to improve student welfare at Berwick. With your help (mostly through votes, but I will accept cash) I will gladly take on the position and all the various responsibilities it entails. My intentions for the position of Welfare Officer are: Running Short Courses (RSA, First Aid) Creating Regular Health and Wellbeing Days (Personal Training, Open Mic, Yoga and Meditation) Continuing the Good Service of the Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club (The Good Service which myself, Keegan and a couple of others have maintained for the last year) In conjunction with the Welfare Committee consisting of the Environment, Queer and Women's Officer, I would like to set up day events that highlight the merits of each of the Committee Officers, like the End Violence Against Women Day that was extremely successful last year. This is only the starting point from where I want to start my term in the position. Any input from you guys is not only appreciated, but it's highly encouraged. The vote is in your hands.
