I have been a musician for as long as I can
remember and have always been supportive of growing artists in all genre's of
the creative entity.
During my time as a singer/songwriter and
performer in the UK, many budding musicians would come to my gigs and ask to
perform a song or two. I had this happen quite a lot, mostly with musicians who
weren't professional.
On the 17th March 2001, St Paddy's Day, I
was asked to do an impromptu gig at Crosses Corner in Windsor - UK, with a
fellow musician friend of mine and we invited other musicians to pop down. At
the end of the night, the landlord was so impressed that he asked if we would do
this on a weekly basis. My friend wasn't interested, but I jumped at the
opportunity to give all performers a platform to express their creativity.
This event continued at Crosses Corner for 3½
years and in December 2004 I moved it to The Harte & Garter Cafe Bar in the High
Street, where it has been just as successful. See my Pics for some past
good times.
The Harte & Garter will be undergoing
refurbishment from the 25th October for 8 months and due to this, I have had to move this event once again DUKE OF CONNAUGHT has been a great venue for this night out.
I am very proud of the effort I have put into
promoting al kinds of creative talent throughout the county and country. I have
even had international performers at this event.
It's my baby and I hope to keep it going strong
for many years to come.
Please feel free to pop down, whether you are a
performer or not; whether you want to perform or just enjoy the talents of
others - you are very welcome!
