Birmingham's Monday Session is the culmination of nine musically minded, natural born performers who create their sound with no set structure or pretence...the writing just flows. When all 9 musicians inject their style and flavour, its hard to pinpoint exactly what the outcome will sound like. The criteria for each track is simply to make it and you feel good. Be it a lazy summer groove or a riff laden funk masterpiece, each and every track cant fail to get the crowd slipping on their dancing shoes. Its with these soul & funk licks that fans of the band have labelled Monday Session as Skunk Music pioneers in and around the West Midlands.
Consisting of three dynamic vocalists & dancers, guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, trumpet and saxophone. The live following that the band have generated just makes every gig even more special and it sends the atmosphere of each show into orbit. With a UK tour in the pipeline, the country will need to brace themselves for a full on British funk invasion, utilising slick showmanship and most importantly hooks that will remain in your consciousness for a long while!
