Live review from www.dukester.uk2k.com -
(*they*) kicked out the jams and shook some heads with their vicious hooks big enough the encapsulate the whole town...Songs this fun don't need to be written about. They just need to be heard."
"Rhythm" drum magazine demo review -
"..(*here's*) an idea of what the adolescent (*band*) from Oxford sound like. Great, basically...This is music that was born with the MC5 and The Stooges..(*they*) do it justice by playing it as it was originally meant to be played - as loud as they can, with no regard for there health"
Demo review from "planet sound" -
"..guitars buzz around each other like Mudhoney fighting Minor Threat.."
"Nightshift" live review September '06 -
"...a variety of tripped out stoner rock..recalling the cataclysmic power of Part Chimp, or Hey Collosus, or to place it more historically, Black Sabbath, or Black Flag, they're impressively intense and rock out some seriously bizzare melodies and sounds..."
"Nightshift" live review November '06 -
"Mondo Cada's brand of hardcore grunge is so straight down the line...Heads down, no nonsense...At least that is until they open up for the final number, a doomladen psychadelic squall of pure evil akin to Dinosaur Jr's wondrous 'Don't"
"oxfordbands.com" live review March '07 -
"Mondo Cada are an interesting proposition to behold. While confident enough to present their influences front and centre from the outset (previous comparisons to Mudhoney are more than apt), they are careful enough not to let those influences engulf them. This appears to be achieved mostly through sheer volume (an early request to the 'turn everything up to 11' is duly honoured). Tonight they ramp up the hardcore quotient of their set, screeching and squalling through a lightening fast riposte to all the(..)titans that have gone before."
SAVIOURS (USA) Heavy Metal from Oakland, last seen in Notts with The Sword and Black Cobra. Saviours are doing a Euro tour around their appearance at the legendary Roadburn festival. Bang thy head!
VICTIMS (SWE) Raging hardcore in the vein of Motorhead, Discharge, Zeke, Entombed etc. We're Fucked!
THE WANKYS (UK) The Wankys should need no introduction. Amazing Japanese style noise punk from Leicester. Think Confuse, Gai, Chaos UK, Swankys etc. One of our favourite UK bands.
STATE POISON (FR) Raw hardcore from France, on tour with The Wankys. Ex-Holy Mountain, Vomit for Breakfast
SPECTRAHAWK (UK) Siege and Celtic Frost get drunk. Then fight.
TERATOID (UK) Downtempo, downtrodden, down in the dumps heaviness from ex-MyWar, Deviated Instinct, Chaos UK etc. members. Sludge, Punk, Doom.
HAMMERS (UK) Brilliant new(ish) band from Manchester. Heavy hardcore with a good ear for a riff. Think His Hero Is Gone, Catharsis, Cursed, From Ashes Rise....
