    The members of Mondo Guzzi grew up in the 80's and played for several punk and hardcore bands. Nowadays they're creating their own style of rock music. Influences from Black Sabbath to Black Flag, from Adam West to Foo Fighters and from Motörhead to Gluecifer. Roaring rock meets punk, with a lace of noise and a smack of pop with desert dust. They love to toy with cliches and if you read between the lines you'll find a dark sense of humour. They are not a punk-rock band but punk-rock is their birthplace. This is a must-see live band, their performances will blow you away with a powerful roar of their tight, asskicking tunes.

    British Mod-Punk-Legends LONG TALL SHORTY am Freitag, 20. August 2010 im Club Zwölfzehn in Stuttgart

    Bei diesem sommerlichen Konzert-Highlight kommt eine britische Mod-Punk-Legende der späten 1970er Jahre nach Stuttgart: Gegründet 1978, war die Band um Frontmann Tony Perfect (der später bei den ANGELIC UPSTARTS spielte) eine der ersten, die das von THE JAM ausgelöste Mod-Revival aufgriffen; ihre Platten wurden von Jimmy Pursey (SHAM 69) produziert! Seit der Re-Union im Jahre 2000 frönen sie wieder ihrem frischen, geradlinig nach vorne gespieltem Mod-Sound zwischen Power-Pop und Punk Rock, der Einflüsse von Rhythm'n'Blues, Beat und Soul der 1960er Jahre aufweist - das überzeugt auf ganzer Linie und ist von einem ähnlich hohen Standard wie bei PAUL WELLER und Konsorten! Ihr neues Album produzierte Pat Collier (Ex-VIBRATORS / BOYFRIENDS).

    After-Show-Party: THE HORSE Soul Allniter - Die Discjockeys KEV CASINO, JENS-O-MATIC und STOMPIN' JOHNSON spielen "swifte" Songs der Sixties, Northern Soul, Rhythm'n'Blues, Ska sowie Mod-Sounds - und das selbstverständlich die ganze verdammte Nacht lang!
