-TOMMY MILLER-
was born in Mishawaka, Indiana. He has been in the music business most of his life, primarily singing and playing guitar. Tommy's mother thought that he needed to add other skills to his singing and guitar playing so, when he was 11 years old she signed him up for tap dancing lessons.
At age 13 he won a local talent contest. First prize was an all-expense paid trip to New York City to audition for the "Ted Mack Amateur Hour". When the guy playing spoons beat him, he knew that dancing was not his forte.
Tommy soon gave up tap dancing and started working with several local bands as a singer and guitar player, until his sophmore year of high school when he moved to Tucson, Arizona. While in Tucson he played in a few bands and got the opportunity to open for "The Byrds," and "The Spiders," (who later changed their name to "Alice Cooper"). He played with Billy Preston as a temporary replacement guitarist until Billy found out that he was only 15 years old!
Tommy has had the pleasure to share the stage and open for the likes of Gene Pitney, "The Easybeats" "The Buckinghams," "Vanilla Fudge," "The Blues Magoos," "Question Mark and the Mysterians," Jeff Bates and many other top bands.
-BART RAY-
-R.I.P. 11-3-1948 - 11-16-2008 - -
was born in Herrin, Illinois but grew up in South Bend, Indiana. At the age of 7 his mother heard him singing in the shower and thought he sounded like Ricky Nelson so, she bought him an inexpensive acoustic guitar that Christmas. His hands were too small to play it so the guitar went into the attic.
Bart still liked music so he learned to play clarinet, saxophone, trumpet baritone horn, piano and drums. Nevertheless, when he turned 13, the guitar came back down out of the attic. He practiced with records and was soon asked to play lead guitar with a rock-n-roll band.
In 11th grade he left school to go with a band from Chicago called "The Impacts". After some touring and session work he got a call from a friend, Larry Byrom, who asked Bart to join him in Hollywood, California. While there he played with some well known bands and did more session work. He has either played with or shared the stage with "Steppenwolf," "The Doors," "Spirit," Ricky Nelson, "The Beach Boys," "Vanilla Fudge," "Sandler and Young," Tracy Byrd, and Dan Seals.
Bart was scheduled to play at Woodstock in 1969 but was drafted and went away to the Army earlier that year. After spending 20 years in the military he retired. After he retired he played with both "Jason Pitts and the Pit Crew" and "Rural Route 2".
