First of all, I just want to give an emphatic THANK YOU to everyone who has been coming out and making all of our shows so much fun! You all know who you are and it sure has been crazy...Sherlock’s, Doc Holliday’s, Cell Block, Sidelines, Oasis, Mound Grove, etc. They’ve all been nuts, and I can’t tell you how much fun we’ve all had partying with all of you crazy people. All of us here in Money Shot are getting geared up for what will no doubt be one great summer, rocking out all of the area including headlining two block parties! (Outside of Sugar Ray's on State Street July 24 and Skully's September 4!)
Also, I’m very excited to report that we have some Rockerie Music Award nominations to tell you about: Money Shot is up for “Best Cover Band”, Buster is up for “Best Guitarist”, and I’m up for “Best Vocalist”. So, don’t be afraid to go out and continue to show your support for us, I know you will, and I know I speak for all of us when I say that it never ever goes unappreciated. Voting begins on May 12 and all you've got to do is visit the good people at rockeriemusicawards.com
So, again a sincere THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...to all of you for all of your loyal support and for making it possible for us to go out and do what we truly love to do! Now, let’s all grab a Bud Light a shot and get ready to make this a summer worthy of not remembering! :)
Love Your Friend,
Tito
Who exactly is this crazy band called Money Shot anyway?
Well, to truly comprehend who the band is, one must first understand the term “musical whore”. You see, “musical whore” is defined as: ..myuzikel ‘hor.. n : a musician that uses his or her musical talent to entertain the masses by playing anything or everything that a majority of drunken crowds would want to hear.
Now that we’ve defined the term, let’s get to know just a little bit more about the four “musical whores” that make up the epic party band called Money Shot, shall we? On guitar and lead vocals, we have Tito Jaxoff...he’s the “Romantic Whore”. When he’s not “musically whoring” it out to the masses, he enjoys long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, and gettin’ it on if you know what I mean. On lead guitar, keyboards, and back up vocals is Buster. Quickly moving on then, on drums and back up vocals is Swan Jeremy, the “Wrecklessly Drunken Whore”. He provides the solid backbeat that keeps all of the party people dancing, and afterwards he often times provides some added entertainment by performing humiliating drunken acts, such as random urination and sporadic bouts of impotence...perhaps it would’ve been best not to include that. Oh well, last but certainly not least on bass and back up vocals, we have Anthony “Tuna Can” Cox, the “Sensitive Whore”. Now don’t let his big tough guy exterior fool you, in all actuality he’s just a big teddy bear. Why do they call him “Tuna Can”, you ask? Well...never mind.
What kind of material can I expect to hear at a Money Shot show?
When attending a Money Shot show, you can expect to hear songs ranging all the way from Bon Jovi, to Michael Jackson, to current hitmakers, such as Green Day and Eminem, all performed by seasoned musicians with the utmost in musical proficiency. You will also be comically entertained with off the wall covers, such as: a re-vamped version of Brittany Spears’, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock’s “Picture” with the band’s resident wreckless drunk, Swan, singing the female part embarrassingly well with Tito, an up beat cover of the DiVinyls’ “I Touch Myself”, and many other zany selections to keep the crowd laughing while they dance and most importantly, drink!
What sets Money Shot apart from other cover bands?
Money Shot is the ultimate party band. They haven’t allowed themselves to be pigeon holed into playing any one style of music all night long, and they have the unmatched versatility to pull this feat off with flying colors. The band’s philosophy is simple...Play music that makes people want to drink lots and lots of alcohol, get up and dance, forget about their problems for a little while, drink, party all night long, have tons of fun, and drink. And all the while, enjoy a professional rock n’ roll show with talented musicians who make it a point not to take themselves nearly as seriously as they take their performance. And in this way, the shows still maintain an edge that so many other cover bands lack. Because of this, no two shows are ever really the same, and it’s still a genuine rock ‘n roll show that anyone can enjoy...even if they are a group of “musical whores”. So, in closing, please remember, Money Shot is certainly not a band that’s trying to change the world...They’re just trying to intoxicate as much of it as they possibly can!
