if you can't find the truth, does that mean it's a lie?

The student who witnessed your chess victory last year was wondering if my Hawaiian friend was coming back. Jack says thank you for the box.

Hey, are you in Thailand? Jack received his present/box today, on his birthday! It was a hit! We all especially loved Skye's portrait of you as Jabba.
    Have a good trip!

When I was a teenager, FM radio was cool. I'd sleep with it on all night for lullaby. I remember when I was 17, lying in bed, awake, late on a school night, I heard John Lennon's Imagine for the first time. I didn't sleep that night. The epiphany that music has the power to envelop and move was my first awakening. Vonnegut said "music is the proof of the existence of God..."

I saw The Empire Strikes Back in Sturgis, MI when I was seven. My aunt and uncle gave me bubble gum ice cream before the show. The story seriously disturbed my childhood view of good and evil which later influenced my perspective of the world and absolutes.

I once dreamt that I was a Duke boy. I was at the Shady Brooke Mall in Columbia, TN looking for Bo and a new belt buckle. About the same time I found my cousin, a man in a big, white cowboy hat approached us and said that he needed our help. He pleaded for us to drive his car in stock races. The car was a modified, blue, 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS. It had three 8 foot lawnmower decks attached to it. One on the back and one on each side. The man in the big, white cowboy hat wanted Bo to start out by racing around the lawns of peoples yards with the mowers running. This is when I realized the lie of the man in the cowboy hat. He had actually conned us into mowing the yards of customers for his landscaping business and his own profit. I awoke from the dream as I was telling my cousin that we had been deceived.

The idea of a separate, individual self is a wrong view. Self cannot existence separate and independent of or from others. This is true of all things. All is inter-dependant, co-arising. Simply, this is because that is. No birth nor death, there is then, no self. Ego is empty. The discrimination between subject and object is extinguished. Belief in superhuman qualities and semidivine origin is seen for what it is. Know: no god.

Growing up, I was always able to imagine myself older or have an idea of where I would be in the future. My mind never on where I was or what I was doing. I only looked to see myself at my next birthday and where I would be and who would be with me. When I was a child, I could see myself as a teenager in high school and who my friends would be. In Jr. High I knew I would continue my studies into college and meet great people to be life long friends. It was when I was at university when I couldn’t see myself much beyond being older than 24. I was uncertain, even afraid to know what may happen after I finished school, what would happen when I moved to Thailand or where I would be 10 years later. In early 2001 I got off the plane in Nashville and asked for street directions to a job. Since then, I've found myself tied to a computer, alone in a cubicle in a low level, glass office building, conveniently located off an interstate, south of the city on what once was cow pasture and country, protecting profit margins for share holders of a large US corporation.

Who I'd like to meet:

My maternal grandfather. I'm told by family that he was a dapper, charming singer. He couldn't finish his university studies at Thammasat because of the Japanese invasion. Years later, he worked with the Americans and met my dad who was in the US Air Force. After I was born, my grandfather died from alcoholism.
