   About The Mongol Beach Party

The Mongol Beach Party is inappropriately festive.

Flower Head Man Tees and Camis

Kansas City artist (and Mark's spouse) Peregrine Honig designed this beautiful image for us. We asked her if she could update the "flower head man" that appeared on our cassette demo back in 1991--and currently serves as the background image on this page. She didn't just update it, she fully reimagined it as only she can. The t-shirts and camis are white cotton from American Apparel and cost $15.

Okay. I understand that life imitating art is one of those really cute intellectual headgames that freaks like me use as a filter or worldview. But seriously, just because your songs are stuck in my head, must your CD also be stuck in my computer's drive?! We are not amused. Ok. We are a little amused....and a little freaked out.

IC is short for Imum Coeli which is Latin for "bottom of the heavens". Also known as the Nadir, it is the lowest point in the sky that a planet can travel relative to the horizon. If you are born at midnight, the Sun would be found around the IC of the chart. The IC forms the cusp (starting point) of the 4th house of ancestral roots, family, home and the foundation of your life.

It was a great show. I'm glad you told me that silence is toothpaste. It's something I never would have figured out for myself.
See you in Providence!

Christian, Jeff, Scott, Bill, Kyle, Mark -

I had an absolute blast at the shows. That's more fun than I've had in a long. My legs feel like jelly, but I'm still on a major high from the music. Both shows were incredible and some of the best music I've ever witnessed live.

Thanks for keeping a permanent smile on my face.

Oh, and :reburn sounds fantastic.
