Mongrel Country can best be described with one word - Duality.
The bands strength is the symbiotic dichotomy between two vocalists of contrasting styles - both of whom are armed with guitars. Acting as the ying to the others yang,
two feverish yet calculated drummers ride the flotsam and jetsam - the ebb and the flow - and its all held together by the grizzly throb of their bass player.
After little over a year since their debut album LP "Just Another Snake Cult", Mongrel Country return with a full length, Self Titled LP, which will appeal to both man and beast alike.
Join the delightfully disturbing Mongrel Country as they celebrate the release of their latest offering at the Hyde Park Hotel on Friday October 23rd. Also launching their album that night are fellow swamp stars CAT BLACK with their sultry debut LP “LOVE IS GONE”. Both albums were recorded at Cellar Sessions Studio by the Reverend Max Ducker, recently selected by RTR FM to be their local features and both releases were picked up by Firestarter distribution, making them available nationwide aswell as through the iTunes store. At last years Mongrel Country launch the front bar reached maximum capacity and they were turning folks away at the door, so be sure to get down early to catch support acts THE BIBLE BASHERS, BONEHOUSE & MOONLIGHT WRANGLERS. Doors open at 8pm, Entry is $15 and merch from all the bands will be available at the door.
