About Mongrel (R.I.P.)

After 10 years we're done.

Today, we decided to bring Mongrel to an end. We are sure, some of you guys have been somehow anticipated that the end is near. Others are probably suprised about it. Due to the fact that this year brought further complications on various layers we are not able to spend the adequate amount of time for Mongrel we always felt to spend on it. Thus we have the opinion, it's the best solution for each of us and the band as a whole to make a clear cut before things heat up and we are not able to enjoy the time we had in retrospective.

One thing from the start: this decision is considered best from each of us. During the last, it turned out that things are piling up on a personal level and that each of us was not able to combine the new and the old ideas, wishes and dreams as it has been possible 3 or 4 years ago. Thus ther ahs never been, there never will and there is no beef within the band and it's members - we split with a clear conscience and in friendship. Everything else would have been a complete bullshit in our view.

We want to apologize to the people who always beleived in us as a band, who have been fighting for us and who spend a lot of time for us and our music. First and foremost we'd especially like to thank Joe, Mudd, Loli, Michl and Bartek, as well as our families and girl-firends (Heidi, Gela, Lamia, Judith) and last but not least our loyal crew from our hometown, Karlsfeld, Germany. We'd especially thank Rosi once again for making a very special dream come true: share the stage in Munich, Germany with one of the most influential bands we came across, i.e. Pennywise.

The times we had have been wonderful, the experiences we had extraordinary and the people we got to know are people we have been happt to get in touch with. Especailly the two tours in the U.S., the great times we spend in Wuerzburg and Weikersheim in Germany, as well as the broomstick ride in Bieringen, Germany are episodes we won't forget for a long time.

Once again, thank you very much for the wonderful time we had and the support you gave to us - it means a damn lot to us. Mongrel will always be apart of our personalities and this is something you are responsible for - thank you so much!

There will be no last shos coming up, but as a final present, we have seven so far unreleased songs, which we have been recording in June 2007 that will be available for free download under the follwing URL:
